All a bit bent in one way or another but work as intended the gauge of steel is pretty good quality.with some bending i think these should be good. You should be aware your drywaller will hate you if you dont route these out and recess them

Some of these stud shoes being sold are a bit narrow to properly fit over 2x dimensional lumber. Fortunately the design engineers did a better job on this one. The inside dimension is 1/32" over the 1.5" width, and in my testing on actual framing lumber it was loose on aged wood, comfortable fit on stuff that is a few years old, and a snug fit on new wood. A light tap with a hammer seated it nicely. These are pretty close to what you would expect from Simpson, and although they don't have all of the certifications and nice stamping, they still will serve the same purpose for a whole lot less. That said, if I had a structurally-weakened member that is loadbearing I likely would spend the extra and get one of the really strong ones. But they cost a lot. These actually fit and are a really good price. Definitely five stars.
