I finally got my hands on the Burley Travoy after months of obsessing over it, and let me tell you—it was love at first sight. Sure, I’ve already noticed some wear, like a scuffed arm pad (no clue how that happened) and a missing reflector—Boston’s brutal snow and ice boulders probably claimed that one. But honestly? No big deal. She’s still a beauty. If I had one wish, it’d be for a little more hauling capacity, but so far, she’s been nothing short of amazing. The industrial design is flawless—nothing like a clunky dolly awkwardly trailing a bike. And let’s talk about the attention it gets—I swear people look at me like I’m cruising in a Ferrari. Maybe it’s my imagination, or maybe it’s just the Travoy magic. Either way, you’ll feel it too.

Top Teil 100% weiterempfelung.

Super easy to hook up toMy bike. I use this trailer to transport my ParaGlider out to my flying spot. The terrain is an uneven dirt trail. The trailer is sturdy and tows nicely. Quality is good.

Easy set up. Durable. Easy to fold up and take with you. Great product. But expensive for what it is.

We use this for cargo hauling when travelling in our motorhome. We don't pull a car so our bikes are our means of getting supplies. Bought a 36"x13"x13" canvas duffle bag (Stansport) and the extra Burley "universal" bag clips to keep it secured from the top and bottom clip points. I also wrap the strap around the top of the Burley frame to distribute the weight off the fold out shelf. It's hauled about 40 pounds of groceries at a time. We've also used it for moving our 50lb inflatable kayak, paddles and PFDs from where we're parked to local rivers and the Burley did that no problem although it's a tight fit between the wheels. Very compact for storage which is important in an RV. Super happy we bought this.

After some regular use there are signs of wear that's not covered under warranty. I wish this was more repairable but instead they use a lot of rivets and hidden cabeling for its construction.

Pleasantly surprised. I use with a Tern folding bike. There's no drag and I barely notices it when riding. I would suggest taking the reflectors off the bottom of the trailer and put in another location. The only issue I have so far is one the yellow caps over the wheel release came off while riding. I would also suggest getting extra straps to secure items to the trailer. It folds down small enough to secure to the bike rack over the back wheel. Be careful when making sharp turns. I use it when grocery shopping, but I mainly use when golfing, it doubles as a walking golf cart. Again, pleasantly surprised!!!

I read with interest the observations addressing the Burley Travoy bicycle trailer, since I have owned an early model used occasionally the past few years, and have recently made the jump to the updated version. The differences may appear relatively small, but as has been noted in other contexts, “the devil is in the details”. With the older trailer it has regularly been a losing effort in my justifications to use it, with vexing problems in trying to figure out how to keep bulky loads away from rubbing tires, maintaining everything balanced on its single flimsy support post, and generally loading it into supermarket or home supply shopping carts (with the support post invariably getting trapped in carts’ steel wire mesh). The new model has been a revelation, with “stout” coming to mind as an adjective to describe the design and construction compared to the somewhat lighter old model.Comments have been made about a lack of a functional bag being shipped with the new model. Fortunately I kept the bag from my old trailer, which fits equally well on the new one (albeit with several patches sewn over holes worn into it by the tires.)In experimenting with other bags, I have attached ½-inch tarp grommets to an old two-foot coated nylon duffel. Speaker wire or carabiner clips can be strung through the grommets, and slipped over trailer attachments with functionality nearly equivalent to Burley plastic clips. Upon arrival to my destination its shoulder strap serves with much more flexibility than the simple grab handles of my old Burley bag.In short, instead of struggling to justify an effort to use the new trailer - as has been the case with the old model - I have had such good experiences on the road with it in general, and more specifically in transitions to public transport, shopping trips, etc., that I find myself frequently dreaming up new reasons to attach it for my bicycle excursions around the city.I am, however, knocking off one star in the rating due to yet another “detail”. With only minimal use and strain on my original trailer, three strap/bag plastic clips have cracked, rendering them unusable. For a few cents more Burley could instead have attached metal clips to the straps included with the new trailer, that would not carry this risk of breakage.

Use daily with an e-bike. Folds and unfolds easily. Never know I’m pulling it. Have the upper and lower grocery bags that go with it, which are very handy- trailer easily disconnects and serves as grocery cart. Also carry golf clubs to the course and use the trailer as a golf trolley. I’m careful not to exceed load limit of 60#. Quality materials and workmanship. A bit pricey but great value. Highly recommend.
