I’ve used Butler Creek scope caps on all my scopes, personal cameras for hunting (when they were fittable), but I’m a believer in them, they’ve never failed me.

I've been buying these for my rifles for 40 years. I have occasionally ran into sizing issues, and this is one of those times. The Butler Creek sizing chart listed this cover for my model of scope, but the cover literally fell onto the eye piece, and would not stay in place, or provide a good seal. The cover is 1.775, and my eyepiece is 1.728. I returned this one and ordered the next size down which is 1.730, The next size down from that is 1.700. In the past I have had to order a cover that was well under the diameter I needed, but a little heating with a hair dryer allows you to push it on the scope, form fitting it, and providing a good seal with the scope body. I really like them, as they are durable, quick to deploy, and seal well against the elements, keeping your lenses dry and dirt free. The first one I bought in 1980 is still in use , and works as well now as it did then.
