This is great for a southern snow suit for your baby. I live in Texas and it only gets super cold and snows in a very small percentage of the time. I had ordered this for my baby well ahead of winter and was glad I had it when it snowed here. So for limited snow days it was great. For more snowy/cold conditions I would definitely recommend getting a better suit though. I actually purchased another suit with the intention of using it when skiing this winter and found one that has a lot more lining/feece.

I got the 0-9mo set and it is nice! Thick padding that seems like it will keep the cold and snow off of my upcoming baby's skin. I have a few more months to go and it will be snowing when he's born so this outfit will be right on time for him! The mittens button onto the end of the sleeves for easy storage. I washed it with them buttoned and they didn't separate. Washed and dried well on a normal cycle
