My 4 year old Echo PB-580T became unusable due to carburetor issues. I tried rebuilding/cleaning the OEM carburetor but since you cannot adjust the EPA tamper proof mixture screws I still could not get it to run right. After installing this carburetor it runs great!Pros:-My blower runs great again!-Carburetor has mixture screws that can be adjusted with a regular screwdriver, this is a huge advantage.Cons:-As mentioned in other reviews, the throttle linkage hits the intake throttle body. This can be easily remedied by shaving off a small area near the linkage. Since the intake body is plastic it is not that hard to do. There are many Youtube videos explaining the process. I used a small Dremel tool but others have used a hot knife or pneumatic cutoff tool.- The return fuel line is a different size than the OEM. However, the kit contains a new fuel line that fits so this was easy to remedy.-The engine is a little more finicky to start than when it was new but at least it runs. The EPA thinks it is reducing pollutants by not allowing homeowners to adjust the carburetor. However, my only other option was to throw away or drive to a repair shop for a costly repair. Wouldn't that be more harmful to the environment?
