Turned out worse than the cheaper cables which I'm using. Highly doubt if the shield infection actually works.

Works as intended and isn't to stiff, runs the full speed,.Overall I'd buy again if I needed some more short cables.

I've been slowly replacing all my Cat5 with Cat6a cables, or rather, just buying Cat6a cables like these instead. The price difference, if any, is negligible, so there's not really any reason not to. Yes, Cat 5E is still plenty for most any household as most service providers only provide up to 1Gb anyways. But 2.5Gb is coming along, and if you have an intranet you likely having 2.5 or 10Gb speeds, and thats where Cat6a comes in. It's also nice to have the shielded cables. EMF really isnt a thing outside of a datacenter, but it certainly isn't going to hurt to have it. So even with my short runs, on things that wont even saturate the connection, I've been getting these Cat 6a cables. Future proofing isnt a thing, but you'll be getting more for your money today if you buy these, instead of Cat5e cables. And with that said, you dont need to buy Cat8 cables. That would be a waste of your money at this time. Unless you intend to hide the cable behind a wall without the ability to access it ever again and you want to "futureproof" that connection, then maybe. But I digress. For basically any other application, this is the cable spec you want.

I saw an increase in connection speed for my PS5 and better reliability. Several cables come with this purchase, so if I have any use for another one in the future I have a few backup cables.

At first I was using various ethernet cables in my home network that I've collected over the years and would get spotty performance when viewing 4K or transferring large files between computers. I knew I would eventually upgrade the equipment like NIC and switch but didn't want the old various cables to be the weak link - literally. So I Upgraded every single ethernet cable in my home with these and without a doubt the difference in performance is night and day, and I'm extremely pleased.

These feel substantial and have worked well in my 10 gig setup.

After some failed episodes with the quote unquote flat cat 8 cables and doing more research I decided it was best to just keep things simple. Cable matters always make high quality and affordable Ethernet cables. When comparing speeds of current networking equipment and computers to the throughput of these cables there really is no reason to get anything above cat6 unless you're really going to distance it then you have test 6A. I struggled with keeping the cat8 flat cables organized, so it's great to go back to Ethernet cables that just work. The best part is how many length and color and multipack quantity and multi color options CM has. Highly recommend.

Very sturdy quality construction with metal fittings. I docked a star because in my 5-pack one was only 3' but that was OK as I had a use for it. The Cat 6a is overkill, but I ran a 75-foot line to my basement and wanted bandwidth for multiple devices. I mostly wanted it for the quality construction.
