From the Manufacturer

Caiman Kontour 1869 is a Metal Inert Gas or MIG welding glove. Kontour is a most innovative form fitting 3 dimensional design to maximize comfort and fit. Caiman is the first in its industry to apply such a design to a welding glove. Kontour gloves conform to the natural shape of the human hand and provides proper finger alignment. In doing so, it achieves unprecedented comfort and dexterity. Kontour Exclusive Features include natural curvature. Kontour offers fit that matches the natural curvature of the human hand; rarely found on other welding gloves. The natural crease line is where most welding gloves are cut straight across the palm, Kontour matches the natural crease line of your palm. The natural slope is where Kontour utilizes multiple pieces of leather to match the slope between the back of the hand and the palm. Kontour standard is sewn with 100% Kevlar for maximum seam strength and extended glove life. Other features include a large leather pulse patch to protect the vital wrist area, and leather palm reinforcements for durability.

These gloves are GREAT if you are looking for high dexterity gloves to protect you against sharp edges and sparks.. They are not thick enough for a lot of heat protection nor using them to pull out thorny weeds.Very soft, well stitched. They run a little small (not a lot) and will stretch to fit the hand. The only problem is that the seam is really thick and uncomfortable in one 1" section - which is uncomfortable and occassionally felt when wearing the gloves. That location is where the strip of leather that runs down to the wrist from inside the thumb area - where that is sewn to the half circle patch and wrist seam. There are just too many pieces of leather creschendo'ing there, leaving a big "stick out into your wrist" batch of leather there. If that seam could be flattened or reduced somehow, these would be perfect gloves. As is, we reach for them last because we have other leather gloves here with no issues. I hope they can smooth or reduce that one seam!

Gloves are good quality, just not thick enough for my work. If you sweat alot, the gloves will stain your hands for a few days. Good value for money.

These are excellent work gloves and decent welding gloves. They provide great dexterity, allowing for the fine touch needed in detailed metalwork. However, their heat resistance is moderate. Brushing against a hot piece of metal is no issue, but trying to pick up a cherry-red piece will quickly result in a burn. That is in contrast to thick cowhide gloves which can basically act like oven mitts and form a thin char layer when you pick up something really hot.

These are perfect fit if you don't have big hands a rather small they are awesome. The leather is not heavy duty but it looks great. I like these a lot for quality and fit.

These worked very well for me for MIG, despite being thinner and probably more designed for TIG. Comfortable, good fit, seams don't seem to get in the way and enough heat resistance as long as you don't stick a little finger out towards your weld zone. I have great control and no obvious glove driven fatigue. They are also snug and thin enough to easily do other tasks like using mig snips, clamps, switching lights on and off, unscrewing the lid of tip dip etc etc without needing to de-glove.

Great gloves for wire-feed welding , plasma cutting, and grinding. Fit well and allow medium high dexterity. Not meant for handling hot metal but protect hands from sparks, sharp edges and are cooler than my insulated gloves. Will probably buy a second pair at this price.
