With a 1/4" thread you can mount a wide array of devices like the ad states for your camera, action camera, ring light, pocket light, microphone and more, as well as the included support bracket as a phone holder. This does not have the function of a tablet/iPad holder. The ball head opens a lot of flexibility for positioning. You can swivel it for portrait or landscape modes for example for your cell phone as well as the other purposes for which it is designed. You can adjust the extension length from 14 to 23.6 inches. You can quickly attach this to a desk surface for example, and quickly loosen it, and move it to another table/stand etc.

Solid build quality but short. Not quite reaching the lengths needed. The price is a bit high for just one pole. The clamp is adjustable so if you have really thick desk it would work. Overall it functions fine. It was easy to set up. Just wish it was a little taller.

I bought it as a portable camera support for doing live streaming with DSLR while traveling.Base is solid and sturdy. It fits a wide variety of surface thicknesses as the vice has it's own size adjustment.When properly clamped to a table top the hold is sturdy and secure.I am comfortable putting phones, cameras, even professional lighting equipment on it - holds it all.I uses several such desk stands holding cameras and various LED panels at home; you can't have too many!

I needed to find a clamping, telescopic mount for my ring light to position above my large monitors and accommodate my thick desk, and this one was perfect. Highlights:- Well built/high quality metal- Easy to install and set up.- Clamp comes with two positions for thinner or thicker desks - my 4+inch desk fit perfectly- Telescopic arm worked to raise ring light above my 27" monitors- additional cell phone mount could be useful- Note, no gooseneck or angle capability, so make sure you need something that just goes straight up- good value for moneyIt's ultimately a practical and functional device.
