The pot is made well. Stainless steel is solid and doesn't feel cheap like others do. Great construction for the price. The downside, at least for candle making, is that the crease which is supposed to form the pour funnel barely exists. So, when pouring, the wax goes all over. This may be ok for thinner liquids, which may follow the crease easier, but if you're a candlemaker, don't bother with this pot.

This pot is ok BUT, as the wax is melting in the double boiler, the handle also melts! Beware!!!

A part of me wishes I went for a bigger size but it works well. It’s a great value product that’s easy to clean and the heat handle works well so it’s just like a pot but without the need of getting a mitten to take it off the heat plate, stove etc.

Served me well for making candles, worth the price.

I really like this small pouring pot. I didn't use it for candles, but rather for pouring liquid soap into molds. I was able to use a double boiler with this pouring pot to melt the soap right in the pot, fragrance and color it, and pour it into the molds. The pouring spout is just the right size, allowing a steady flow without it dispensing too quickly. The spot did not drip, which was a plus. I also have standard size pouring pots in my workshop, but I prefer these little ones because they are not as heavy to work with when full and hot. Highly recommended!

The 44oz Double Boiler Candle Making Pot is a well-built, convenient tool for any candle enthusiast. Its larger capacity (easily melting up to 2.3 pounds of wax) and sturdy 304 stainless steel construction are definite wins. I melted soy, beeswax, and even coconut wax blends in this pot, and it handled them all like a champ – no warping or rusting in sight. However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. While the dripless spout does its job admirably, the handle could be thicker for better heat insulation, especially when dealing with larger batches of wax. Additionally, the pouring control could be a tad finer – sometimes the spout lets out a glug rather than a precise stream. Overall, this is a solid 4-star performer for beginner and intermediate candle makers. Its efficient double boiler system, ample capacity, and durable build make it a worthwhile investment. Just be prepared to use a pot holder for extra hand protection and practice your pouring technique for the most controlled fills.
