This canning kit has everything you need to do proper canning. With prices as they are, this will certainly come in handy this summer when I’m harvesting vegetables from my garden. Definitely a helper in every way.

If your just using this once or twice, a year it will work in a pinch. Everything works fine its just not the highest quality stuff. The ladle is small and shallow, the metal on the grabbers is kind of thin. Its fine, just not the best out their.

This is a nice set of accessories; it should be clear, but in case not, this doesn't teach one how to can nor provide staple items like canning jars, lids, pots, etc. This set is items that you would likely need while canning, so that when you get started, you are better prepared and aren't missing something you didn't think about (jar lifter/lid lifter/wide mouth funnel). They are nice steel except for the measuring spoons and funnel.

It is so much cheaper to buy a set for canning than the individual items separately. This set includes everything you will need except the jars, bands and lids. It even includes a lid lifter used to lift hot lids out of boiling water. That process is only recommended now for Bernadin lids rather the more frequently seen Ball or Kerr lids. Still, I’d rather have too many tools than not enough. The quality looks great too. I’m sure I will still be using this set years from now.

This is a great starter kit for any person wanting to try canning. Has all the tools and is easily compatible with commercially available mason jars. Found all the tools super easy to use and very high quality. Great kit.

When I made and canned jams last summer for the first time in my life, I did it in a piece-meal fashion, getting one ladle here and some lids there and trying to jerryrig a funnel. This set is going to make this year’s jams go way more smoothly! I am most enthused that it includes: -a wide-mouth funnel (no worrying about clogging up and losing the bigger fruit chunks, and man what a pain in the butt filling 11 jars without a funnel), -a lifting device for an entire jar (there I was trying to use two pairs of chopsticks ambidextrously), and - tongs (there could be an arcade game of ‘get the canning lid with your chopsticks’).If you’re just starting out, just go for it and get this. You won’t have to regret it.

I was so happy to see this canning kit. I want to learn to can as my grandmother never taught me because it was hot. This kit has everything I would need except for a stock pot, but I have those, to be able to learn and to do some canning. I do have a canning book, but I didn’t have any supplies but now I have the supplies and I’m looking forward to canning later this year. It has everything you could need.

One of the better deals out there that you’re going to get and perfect for the occasional canner. All of the tools feel heavy and like they will be in my kitchen drawer for a long time. The only thing I don’t particularly need is the plastic measuring spoons, but those will be great for keeping in containers to scoop out coffee or drink powder.
