The 12-digit p170-dh calculator incorporates two-color, high-speed printing, and a nomad print key for dates and reference numbers. Print 2.3 lines per second with positive numbers in black and negative numbers in Red. Design features an extra-large, high-angled fluorescent display and quiet serial impact printer with ink Roller. Functions include time calculation, profit margin calculation, clock/calendar function, quick tax calculation, decimal positions (+, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, floating), round up/off/down switch, sign change, Item count, markup/markdown, memory, add mode and grand total. Calculator uses a 2-1/4" (57mm) wide plain paper roll and weighs 2 lb.

We purchased this adding machine 10 months ago to replace a broken one. The employee for whom it was ordered hated it right from the start because the keys responded slowly and couldn't keep up with her. I'm slower, so I switched with her and gave her my old one. The key response is definitely slow, and the 0 has to be hit very hard to work at all. It's not a horrible problem for me because I'm not constantly using it. After 10 months though, I'm now having problems with the paper feed.I would recommend against this model. It seems to be poorly made.

It's doing a great job so far. I don't use it that much in my office but it is simple to use and seems very sturdy.So, I've been using it for a couple of months now and still no complaints.Good, sturdy and efficient.

Hard to get excited about a new calculator but the display is bright, easily read. Keys function as they should. Unobtrusive size - still have not set date and time. Instructions would be better is print was larger

What can I say? It works well, the display is sharp and clear and large enough to see, and it does not take a lot of real estate on the desk. That is pretty much what I looked for and pretty much what I got!

I have used the P170-DH at work for over 4 years now. I just bought one for my home bookkeeping service. This is the least expensive of the full sized Canon desktop units with a printer and works just fine. In addition, it has a built-in clock.I like the feel of Canon calculators and this is just an exceptional one to use.
