About Meko Outdoors
Meko Outdoors, Inc, the company that sells and distributes Canopy Breeze, is located in Collierville, Tennessee, just outside of Memphis. The inspiration for Canopy Breeze developed from our love of youth sports, college football, and all things outdoors. Its roots date back to 2014 when the founder was in search of relief from his daughter's extremely warm youth soccer tournaments! After five years of development, the first fans landed in 2020.

Solid or vented top canopy frames with perpendicular roof joists at its apex, available at most sporting goods, home improvement, discount stores and Amazon are compatible. (Image view is under canopy looking upward)

Push-Up (also called "One Push" or "Quick Lift") frames where a single user can raise the frame by pushing a knob in the center of the frame upward are compatible.
NOT Compatible
Center pole (also called Cross-Truss) frames where the canopy fabric is raised via a single pole supported by trusses at the top of the frame legs are NOT compatible.

This fan came in its own hard plastic case with all the necessary components. The blades -not attached, snapped tightly on- pay attention to the correct placement of the blades! It took a few hours to completely charge ( over night). It comes with different attachments to hook it up whether you have a tent, an easy up or a gazebo. We attached a hook to our roof of our gazebo and used the appropriate attachment. It has two speeds. Even low speed adds just enough air movement to make it feel comfortable! The charge lasts 6 hours!! So using it for only a couple hours a day- it lasts a long time Or one big event!! The only gripe is that the cord to charge it should be longer! We need to use a ladder to plug in the charger and attach a very long outdoor extention cord to plug it into an outside outlet. Noise level is very low even on high speed.

I bought 2 of these fans in 2023 to use in our gazebo during the summers. We used the fans only a handful of times in 2023 before I took them down in the fall of 2023 to store in their sturdy plastic containers they were shipped in. I put the fans back up this June 2024 and both fans worked great until last week when one of the fans completely stopped working after only a few uses! The second fan still works but I’m just waiting for the day it stops. I’m very disappointed the fan only lasted an handful of times between 2023 and 2024. The airflow was great with 2 fans working but now we’re down to 1 fan, so half the airflow in our HOT Utah summers. Total waste of money. Very easy to install but a bit noisy.

Great idea and sizing - however, we found this to be very weak, and barely producing a breeze. I can’t see us using this, and unfortunately I’m outside of the return window for this; so I’m stuck with it.

This fan is absolutely amazing! Used it this past weekend at a summer lacrosse tournament. We put it under a 12x12 tent for the girls to rest under between games.Set up is quick and easy. We ran it on high when the girls were under it, and off during our games. It was probably running for 5 hours. The remote works from a pretty good distance, at least 15 feet away.On low you can feel it move air and would probably be enough to keep bugs away. On high it helped the girls cool down quickly in 90 degree humid air.Break down was just as easy as set up.Multiple times throughout the day I was asked about the fan.My only suggestions would be a battery life meter on the side of the fan and a bluetooth option for the remote (I know that would drive price up).

We purchased this hanging fan for the 12x12 canopies on our family's deck and they work beautifully. Super quiet. They hang either by the canopy hook or comes with built-in hooks. AND, the fan is easy to retrieve from canopy ceiling to easily put in the traveling case and take to games for pop up tent or for tailgating. So excited I found this fan. Tried the Harbor Breeze fan but it weighs a million lbs/returned. This one is lightweight, moves a great deal of air, has a remote AND can be recharged or run plugged in. We have it plugged in all the time. Had a question about release of beige/tan colored blades to match our canopy and the owner answered promptly and said they were producing that color in 2024 to complement their current game day colors. Super pleased with product and customer service.

Review Update: 7/22/2022 - After leaving this review, I received a message from Matt advising that I have a one year warranty and that he would be happy to send me a replacement, in which he did, and I have been using the fan for the past 3 days and I have not had an issue. It's been working GREAT! Thank You Matt for reaching out to me and for resolving this issue!! I have now changed my review for the outstanding response and customer service that I've received.Original Post: I bought this in the fall on 2021 brand new but never had an opportunity to setup until now. I followed the instructions and charged the fan as instructed. After it was fully charged, I hung it in my canopy and turned it on. It worked for a total of 2 minutes and died!! I tried recharging it again but it never turned back on. Wasted money!!!! I wouldn't recommend this product.

This battery-powered, light weight, and powerful canopy ceiling fan is amazing! I’ve been redesigning a simple canopy to be more reminiscent of a poolside cabana at the Beverly Hills Hotel for my wife (one of her favorite places). This fan has added the perfect touch to the design! It can become VERY hot under the canopy in the summertime, but when using this fan, the livin’ is easy!The fan is beautiful, super easy to install (just pop in the blades, prop open its four hanging hooks and, bam!), surprisingly powerful – cools you off on both low and high speed – its size is legit, and… being able to completely remove any trace of wiring after charging the battery overnight is the icing on the cake! It even comes with a substantial blue carrying case, if you’d like to take the good life on the road with you.AND, the customer service is AMAZING!!!I highly recommend this little gem… if you can find it. (After I bought mine, it was listed as Currently Unavailable)
