Prop is great for trolling at low speeds, downside is that I lost 6mph compared to my stock aluminum 3 blade prop.I will be swapping this for a stock size stainless 3 blade for top end speed, but it is great for trolling at idle and getting 3mph out of a 20' pontoon.

I was surprised it fit but it fits my mercury optimax not just force engines. Came well protected but we'll test performance soon. I'm switching from a 3 blade solas aluminum 17p prop because I was going over the WOT range and actually hit the alarm. I was able to go 37 mph so I'm very curious how my rpm will do compared to mph. In theory I'm expecting to drop 200 rpm just going to a 4 blade, another 200-400 rpm from going up to a 19 pitch but maybe gain back 100-200 rpm by switching to stainless. Top speed should remain very similar but holeshot and planing speed should be better. Initial impression is the stainless blades are actually thicker than my aluminum which is contrary to popular belief but the leading edge is thinned whereas the trailing edge is probably twice as thick as my aluminum. I get the feeling this stainless prob is better for performance whereas the solas I had was an "economy" propeller which I did feel like my used very little gas before.

Upgraded from a 3-blade prop to this 4-blade wonder. First time I've tried a 4-blade, and man, what a change! My boat's now quicker to plane and runs much smoother.
