Bought this for my son who always seemed to have ashes everywhere around his car ashtray. This one is perfect, holds a cigarette securely and does a good job of confining the ashes to the ashtray. The stainless steel construction is attractive and safer than the one he was previously using.

All metal, doesnt melt like my old one. Lid is a nice touch, i can snuff my cigarettes easier when finished without the excess smoke

This silver stainless ashtray is perfect. It can’t melt so your car/area won’t smell like burning plastic. The weight keeps it in place and it’s great looking. It keeps all the smoke smell contained when you put the lid on. Like it so much, I bought the black one for the patio.

This thing is HEAVY in a good way!!! It feels like quality! Even holding the lid by itself you can feel that it is heavy for its size. GREAT QUALITY MATERIALS used in this and the bottom of the cup is heavier than the top to prevent tip overs! Genius. That's attention to detail! Speaking of details, the notches are actually designed in such a way to Where They Actually Work and hold what you place in them firmly without damaging them. This Ash cup is really, REALLY NICE! It has taken me by surprise as I thought it would not be nearly this nice when I placed my order. The hole in the center is generous so you don't have to have the aim of Robin Hood to get stuff to go through it easily. The best word I can think of to describe it overall is "SOLID" ...typed in all caps on purpose. This thing is a tank! I love it so much that I am ordering another one for the back of the truck to replace a plastic one with no lid that I've been using to keep my clients job sites from being a litter box for butts. This one is going to be way SAFER and last way way longer than that plastic one...especially since this one is made of metal and has a lid so there is no way for it to get "accidently hot" inside and cause an issue that needs to be dealt with.This one is 10 stars, 2 thumbs up and 2 big toes up! A++++ QUALITY Item! No regrets on this order. I have to go order another one right now before y'all read this! 10000% Recommend!

This is a well-made, thoughtful, and sturdy ashtray. It's solid with a substantial weight to it. Despite being made of solid metal, it doesn't radiate heat from the bottom to the sides during use. The conical middle section fits securely to the base section (no smoke leakage) but removes easily to allow for cleaning. The reason this gets 4 stars from me instead of 5 is because of the lid. This design has to walk a very fine line between tight enough to block smoke and loose enough to not get stuck or be difficult to remove and it struggles to find that balance. Some small amount of smoke is going to leak through the top if you don't use sand or water or have another way to quickly extinguish anything before it's placed inside—and that also means some amount of smell is going to leak through. But it's just secure and tight enough that inserting or removing it results in a fairly unpleasant sound of metal scraping against metal. I think this piece really could have used a silicone rim or similar to help block air and also prevent scraping. But for what it is, it's really well-made and thoughtfully designed, and works well so far for us!

Heavy duty metal construction. Nice removable insert for emptying butts and a lid that stays on as long as its not bumped hard and falls over. I ordered the black and gold one and it looks good for an ashtray.
