I recently bought a used Troy-Bilt TB4BP EC backpack blower that would idle but not throttle up. I tried cleaning out the old carb and adjusted valve clearance that was out of spec but that didn't solve the issue.I adjusted this new carb to roughly match the idle setting on the old carb before installing.I put this new carb on, primed until I had fuel in the bulb and it started right up. It idled well and now works as it should! No complaints here!

the kit is easy to install and provides all the necessary parts, but the unlabeled spark supplied with the kit will not work correctly in a Troy Bilt 4-cycle blower. It needs a DZR3U spark

This was a very smooth transaction, not only were the pictures a huge help in determining that this was the correct part, the part numbers were clearly defined so I purchased with confidence and had exactly the right part. Shipping was very fast as I had part the day after order. Would highly recommend this company.

Super easy install.. 5 minutes? Bought the non-running TB backpack blower for TEN BUCKS at a garage sale, got it to start but no throttle response. Then a few weeks later, couldn't keep it running for more than 10 seconds. Slapped this baby in and BAM! STARTED FIRST PULL. No joke.Tip: eyeball the silver screw (idle) with the other one you take off...I had to turn mine in quite a few turns but apparently I nailed it. Ran it for 15 mins or so, took a quick break, choke in #2 position, BAM! Started first pull again!! Replaced the fuel lines, drilled out the hole in the gas tank a tiny bit because it's TIGHT. Way too tight. I didnt swap the spark plug, but it did come with one. Some other random dude on here said it was the wrong one anyway and wanted to troubleshoot as I went. No need because my blower runs like Forest Gump now. Recommend it!

The carburetor is a perfect fit. Had to trim a little of the gasket/insulation wall on the machine so that I could get the new gasket in the kit in place. The carburetor is incredibly easy to adjust. Since the kit came with a new spark plug I decided to go ahead and put it on even though the old spark plug was not that old. Put on the new fuel filter. The leaf blower fired right up but ran incredibly rough and quit. After several attempts, and after replacing the fuel to make sure it was fresh, I decided to put the old spark plug in. The machine now runs perfectly. The spark plug from H&H that comes with the kit is not made for this leaf blower. The only other shortcoming of the kit is it did not come with a new air filter. Since they are so cheap it could've easily been included.

Buy this if you need a new carb for your Troy Bilt TB4BP back pack blower. Original was a Walbro. New carb has fuel line connections below the primer (original were above), which is no problem as they are closer to the fuel tank. It makes zero difference. BTW, on the TB or MTD site, the OE carb now has connections exactly like this. There is no taking the carb apart to make things fit like some have done. Rubber O ring on the air filter side is included. It works out of the box. With new fuel lines and filter, the machine started up easily. How long it lasts is unknown, but more than satisfied.

Product works but design is different than one it replaces. One of the fuel inlets is in a different spot so might be a tricky install for some applications.
