This weight bolt is designed to replace the stock weight bolt which gives the stock cue of 19oz weight to increase it to a 21oz weight. Unfortunately, at least in my cue, it sticks out the end by appx 1.5 inches. The seller did their best to solve the problem short of supplying me with a new butt with a properly fitted weight bolt. They were offering an exchange but I only wanted to test the cue at 21oz and if I didn't like it, to put the original back in. The suggestion by them was to install the 7 inch bolt and try it but with it sticking out the end by 1.5 inches, the whole cue would be off balance. I sent the 7 inch bolt back for a refund. I don't recommend this product as you may encounter the same issue.

I have a full carbon fiber CUEDSG cue and it weighed in at 20.2oz originally. I wanted it to be a bit lighter. I got it to the perfect weight with a little bit of work explained below. I believe this can only be used on the CUEDSG cue but I don't know for sure. This bolt is inexpensive and easy to change. I used a smaller hex to get the butt unscrewed and a much larger one to get the bolt out.GETTING TO THE PERFECT WEIGHT:If you have a grinder and know how to use it safely, you can grind it down to whatever weight you want. (then fix the threads before messing up the soft wooden threads in the cue) In theory you could do this with a hand hacksaw and some files as well.I fixed my threads with a very small file. Error on the side of taking more off the threads, there are plenty of threads to hold it in place. I wanted 19.25oz and got within .05oz using this method. I guess I could have just cut down the original bolt. There aren't quite enough options to get what I wanted exactly. I would suggest taking the bolt out of the cue and weigh the butt, shaft, end cap together on the scale. Since the scale rounds, putting it all on the scale at the same time is best. (everything but the bolt) This will help you find the desired weight for the bolt. Once I removed my bolt, the rest was 17.75. I bought the 1.8oz bolt and ground it down to 1.5oz. (actually 1.55, close enough)
