Ordered this to replace quick ratio steering box on 83 Trans Am. Received it and checked with original and found the box was a standard and was just over 3 turns lock to lock. Original on my Transam was 2.25 lock to lock. Had to use anyway as I wanted to drive the car. Very disappointed in the difference in steering. Easy test to verify quick ratio, but obviously the manufacturer doesn’t care and don’t think people will check or notice

I ordered this model cause it was a fast steering ratio. Turns out that it is really light steering. Like Cadillac light steering but this was installed on a Z28. So the steering is very vague and not good for performance cars

Old power steering box was leaking and wanted one with the lower gear ratio. Part bolted right in and works as well as I was hoping.Returning the core was simple and received a card for the rebate.Very happy

Fit perfectly in my 1981 El Camino as an upgrade to the Monte Carlo SS style of steering. Make sure to order the correct pitman arm if needed.

Perfect fit for my 84 ss monte carlo. Only issue I had was it changed the alignment. I was able to set the toe myself, but to the average person an alignment would have been needed. Steering is easier and smoother now.

Although this gear box was stated "not to fit"it did.Research your parts through different cross referencing streams and sometimes you will luckout.Maybe too early to tell on quality but the part works, does not leak and looks as new.Price turned out to be quite reasonable.
