Your cart is empty.A critical component within your power steering system, the belt-driven pulley is responsible for transferring hydraulic pressure from the pump to the steering gears. A worn or damaged pulley can cause the belt to slip, overheating the pump and damaging seals and bearings, eventually leading to power steering failure. Whether you're replacing belts or servicing an entire power steering system, installing a new pulley will prove to be a wise decision. CARDONE has leveraged their decades of experience remanufacturing steering components to arrive at a durable, direct-fit power steering pulley for many high-need applications.

Works fine as a replacement pulley, and is much cheaper than the OEM style one that is actually plastic. One word of warning - it's basically impossible to install this without some kind of press. At minimum you will need a vise with a big enough throat, but a hydraulic press is preferable. A small hand operated arbor press probably won't give you enough force. This isn't the fault of the part exactly, it's how GM designed it.

The time had come to replace my stock power steering pump in my 2002 grand AM. Naturally, they rarely sell a new pump that has a pulley installed so you’re required to use a power steering pulley puller. The stock pulley was old brittle and worse yet…..plastic! So upon removal and placing on the ground the stock pulley cracked and was no longer serviceableOrdered this one from Cardone and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived as a steel pulley. It pressed on easy and I was back on the road!! Nice quality piece that will outlast the car
