Engineered for severe-duty applications, the thermoplastic outboard boot provides increased life and durability versus a traditional neoprene boot. The transmission seal diameter is precision-machined after heat treatment to ensure correct surface finish, promoting long seal life. High-quality grease withstands high-temperature and high-torque demands to ensure long-lasting, reliable performance. Boot clamps are pneumatically crimped, creating a perfect seal between the boot and housing. A new axle retaining nut is supplied with every drive shaft assembly for a hassle-free installation, due to the likelihood that the original retaining nut is worn or stripped. Additionally, all CV Axle Drive Shafts are individually verified for straightness, resulting in vibration-free performance at all speeds. Bought for my 1994 K1500, installed back in 02/2021 on the drivers side. 12/05/24 Less than 12,000 miles later and almost 4 years happen to notice when greasing my fittings that the outer boot at the smaller clamp, the boot had ripped. (Right next to the small clamp, ripped about 75% and was leaking grease). Not too happy, purchased the "HD" version in hopes of getting a long trouble free life out of it, and didn't. My truck is stock and spends 95+% of its time on pavement only rarely venturing on a gravel road. The "HD" is supposed to have a "Thermoplastic outboard boot provides increased life and durability versus a traditional neoprene boot, making it ideal for severe-duty applications." I think the boot material is the problem and that regular neoprene would have served me better!My suggestion is you just pay a little more and get cv/axles locally with a Lifetime warranty and unless you really need "severe duty boot", just get the regular neoprene boots! I switched to local life timer to replace this leaking one and will do the same for the passenger side which is a far older non-HD boot equipped axle.

Installed these on a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 with a 6 inch lift and they work great! Of course you need to use the spacers that come with the lift kit but there is no binding or over extending of the cv axle like I have experienced with other locally purchased axles. And these are quality axles!

It does fit a Yukon 2004 4WD. Drove 2300 miles with those axles - no issues. How long they will last - remains to be seen. The axles seem to be a good value for the money, however, they are not the same quality as original ones.

Bought three of these, installed two of them, 3 months later both sides outer boots came undone from the hub and all the grease came out, ruined both outer joints, replaced the passenger side axle with the third one I bought, two days later same issue on the new one, outer boot band broke and the rubber came off the hub, ruined the outer joint by the time I noticed,They seem to be a good axle and CV but the outer boot and the band that holds them on don’t work,2005 Tahoe, 6” zone lift kit, has the front axle spacers,Side note - the OEM front CV’s lasted 280k miles under heavy abuse and harsh off road driving, the last 30k miles on the OEM axles was with the 6” zone lift kit
