So, I order the sever duty Cardone 66-1325HD CV axle shafts for a 2007 Avalanche. The advertisement stated that it was fit for the Avalanche and several other GM makes. As my packages arrived my friend and mechanic has serious health issues. It takes him about 2-months to get back on his feet. As he disassembles the Avalanche, he noted that the parts that I had ordered are too short in length and too large for the bolt pattern. They don't work. I scramble to the Auto Parts store and they do have the correct CV shafts in stock. I was wanting something better than stock the reason to order the heaver duty Axels. I call up Amazon to return the parts. This was not the first time ordering parts from Amazon, I have literarily spent thousands in parts from them and for the most part have been satisfied with the result. However, the oversea help line is a joke, not USA, Canada or Mexico. They suck because I have proof that these are not the correct parts. if this was from the parts store that I got the parts from they would have taken them back with no questions asked. For us folks that are struggling to get by, I would say buy local and not from these people. I will keep amazon prime for tv watching and a pair of shoes every now and again. no more auto parts. save your time, money and buy CV shafts from a local dealer. THEY DON'T CARE BECAUSE THATS WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN TRAINED TO SAY. Allie, (If that was her name) was apparently the supervisor in charge. I give them 0 stars if possible.

previous CV axle lasted 10 years/200k miles so I replaced with the same model.

I installed on my 2004 Silverado 2500hd, 6.6L LLY Diesel with leveling kit. It went on perfect and required no modification. Nice to have the lifetime warranty as well.

I don't see how you can give a product quality review without putting at least 200,000 miles on it first. Its a CV Axle made by a reputable company and it wasn't damaged on arrival...Save yourself a head ache when installing..Remove the wheelRemove the axle nut dust capRemove the lower shock boltRemove the inner axle bolts (15mm wobble socket and impact works great!)Remove the axle nut.Drop the inner part of the axle.Push axle shaft out of hub.Lift outer CV joint above sway bar, pushing the shock out of the way as needed.Don't bother removing anything else. This entire process shouldn't take more than 10 minutes if you have an impact. This could be done on the side of the road if you had to.

Looks like I got someone else's return. Box was damaged, the shaft was covered with a bag, and the end plate was found off with grease smeared all inside the bag. You don't expect to receive a NEW part you purchased in this condition!! I purchased one earlier in the week(being skeptical)and the package was brand new with the shaft totally intact.

Amazon shippers tried there best to destroy my parcel-showed up smashed and was dropped hard enough to pop out the inner cv expansion plug…would just happen over and over so I fixed it-they use good moly grease-inner cv is cheap…rubber cv boot which sucks, outer cv is better with a neoprene boot -cv half shaft is tight, no slop on either end - being new , price was cheap so I’ll give it a try….
