The product arrived much faster then advertised. It's not too wide, just perfect.Only complaint is that it's packaged folded in half, after a week I still cannot get it to take a round shape. so if it's too lose around your neck, it wont be round, more like oval...

Because of a spinal deformity and issues with military neck, I had been getting terrible cervicogenic headaches that would put me out of commission for sometimes days at a time. I bought this after being diagnosed. I would highly recommend trying this if you suffer from these headaches too.This has helped train me to keep my neck in a proper position during the day by wearing it on and off. I also sleep with this on at night to help keep my neck from shifting wrong during my sleep. Since I started using this I have had drastically less headaches and when I do feel one coming on this has helped by giving me some slight support.I would recommend easing into using this, especially if you are not doing anything else such as physical therapy or techniques to reshape the curve back into your neck if you have military neck. I have been doing both which likely adds to the effectiveness of this.My only real gripe about this is that the material of it is a bit abrasive. I would highly suggest getting a soft towel or cloth to wrap around at least the front part of the brace. I got a cheap pair of slipper socks from the dollar store and wrapped them around mine.Lastly, you will look like a goober wearing this. I only wear it at home but I will happily take looking silly for amount of relief this has helped bring me

Finally, I have found a very comfy neck support. I have serious neck problems, and knew I had to replace my ancient neck support, but when I tried, I found everything is different and could not locate the exact same item.So, since these things are not super expensive, I have tried a lot of them, all ordered from Amazon to try out. (I am not going to try to return any; I will keep for anyone else that might use them.)FINALLY this one is perfect for me, and probably be good for most other folks as well.This is long enough to adjust as needed, the material is soft enough for comfort, but nicely firm enough for support.The shape is good to give chin and jaw good support with comfort.I am buying 3 more of these so I know I will be set for years to come. Very happy to find this.

I do very close work (beading, crochet, embroidery, weaving, and computer work) which often puts a strain on my neck. An ergonomic expert who came to my job a number of years ago, pointed out that people who do this kind of work are subject to what is called "neck thrust syndrome". This is because we tend to thrust our chin out, unconsciously, to accommodate reading a computer screen or seeing close work better. When my neck and shoulder started to bother me recently, I realized if I went to a doctor they would advise using a soft cervical collar and applying heat or cold to the area. Because I was a nurse for 18 years, I was aware of this and decided to treat myself. I bought the Bucky Hot and Cold Therapy Wrap and the Carex Cervical Collar. I applied both everyday for a week, and the neck pain/strain is completely gone. When I know I am going to be spending quite a few hours over an art project or on the computer, I put the collar on, and I find it helps me to hold my neck in a more upright position without thrusting my neck out (creating new and better body alignment habits). Because of this, the strain has not returned. Certainly it is a great deal less expensive than a doctor's appointment and works even better than I expected. The collar is comfortable and washable (by hand) and dries quickly (air dry, not dryer). There is a great short video on YouTube that shows the correct way to put the collar on, which helped me to know how it should fit (chin not extending out over the collar, and not too tight or too loose, but situated to give support to the neck comfortably.) I highly recommend it!

My doctor suggested I get one of these to wear at night to help alleviate the pain I've had in my neck recently. It fits fine and will probably work for most people, but for me, it caused me to snore real bad. That in an off itself is not a real problem since I sleep alone, but it was bad enough that I woke up with a sore throat the two times I tried it.So my review might not be real relevant since I have not worn it for an extended period of time, but I can't give it four or five stars either. Then again it might be due to how it fits or the shape so be advised.It's made of decent material. Although not real high quality, I suspect it will last a long time if used for temporary relief. When I have tried it, not sleeping, it does provide good support and helps reduce neck movement which adds up to less pain.

I bought this to help me sleep on airplanes without getting a crook in my neck. It holds up my neck well, but is not quite as comfortable as I imagined. It holds up my neck the best if I fit it tightly (the velcro makes it very easy to adjust to different widths), but then my neck feels cramped, and it rubs against my larynx. A wider fit is more comfortable on my neck but doesn't hold up my head quite as well. I feel it does what it should do, and my disappointment is likely only due to idealism.
