I am super impressed with the quality and fit of this shade trunk for our 2024 Crosstrek. It fits perfectly! Now I have some extra room as well keeping the majority of my trunk hidden from potential theft.

This review is for the cargo cover designed to fit a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek.There are some similarities as well as differences between this product and the OEM cover, and a few are a simple matter of personal preference. For example, the flap on this HOIEDT cover (It's the part that hangs down, where the handle which is used to pull and retract is located) is smaller than the OEM version (see photo), but this doesn't seem to affect the ability for this cover to hide your cargo. I am sure this is one thing that individuals would either like or dislike.PROSThe cheapest price that I can find online at this time to buy a new genuine OEM cargo cover for this 2024 Crosstrek is over $160, making this HOIEDT cover very economical.I like the dark metallic gray bar that this cover retracts into (see photo comparison ). If some thief is looking into your cargo area, the dark gray of this product hides the fact you're covering stuff, whereas the slightly larger silver bar on the OEM version is easily seen, even through the darkly tinted windows.CONSThis product is harder to install (and I have needed to remove mine occasionally to make room for big cargo or big dogs, etc.) and remove. The bar is a little longer, and the springs that hold it in are harder for me (senior citizen) to pull in in order to install or remove it.The fabric of this product is stiffer, doesn't roll as easy as the OEM product, and it's harder to pull out and secure into the slots that will hold it in place. I don't know if in time this will all loosen up, but I do know that my OEM version has always been easy to roll in, out, and fit into the grooves that hold it securely.Summary: This cargo cover gets the job done. If the cons listed are not a problem for you, the price of this product alone makes it a good deal. 4 stars
