Carmelite Monastery "Stella Maris" of Mount Carmel - Haifa - Israel
According to tradition, it would be based on a cave that was the home of the prophet Elijah.
The Carmelite Order was founded here by a group of hermits led by San Broccardo
In 1230 the superior of the Carmelites, St. Simon Stock, testified that he had a vision of the Madonna which gave rise to the devotion of the Carmelite Scapular.
St. Simon Stock ( who had asked her to give a sign of privilege for the Carmelites ) on Sunday 16 July 1251 had the vision of the Virgin with the revelation of the scapular and the promise:
"Take my beloved son, take this scapular of your Order, a distinctive sign of my Brotherhood, a privilege to you and to all Carmelites. WHO WILL DIE IN THIS DRESS WILL NOT SUFFER THE ETERNAL FIRE; this is a sign of health, of salvation in the dangers, a covenant of peace and an eternal pact ".
To commemorate the event, the feast of the Madonna del Carmelo was established for which the date of July 16 was set. The scapular has remained for all Carmelites a sign of Mary's maternal protection.
The promises linked to the Holy Scapular were confirmed by the Virgin also in Fatima. On 13 October 1917, in fact, while the great miracle of the Sun was taking place, seen by more than fifty thousand people, Mary showed herself to the little shepherds in the guise of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, presenting the Scapular in their hands.
It should be clarified that:
We must not believe in the slightest, however, that Our Lady, with her Great Promise, wants to engender in man the intention of securing Paradise, continuing more calmly to sin, or perhaps the hope of saving himself even without merits, but rather that by virtue of her promise, she works effectively for the conversion of the sinner, who brings the little dress to the point of death with faith and devotion.
A Prayer to Our Lady of Mount Carmel
O Most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this my necessity. O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein that you are my Mother.
O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart, to succor me in this my necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. O show me herein that you are my Mother.
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us that have recourse to thee. (Repeat three times)
Sweet Mother, I place this cause in your hands. (Repeat three times)

The prophet Elijah (9th century BC), on Mount Carmel, had the vision of the Virgin, who rose from the ground towards the Mountain on a cloud, bringing rain and saving Israel from drought. In that vision, all Christian mystics and exegetes glimpsed the Virgin Mary, who, by generating the Son of God, gave life and fruitfulness to the world.

I wear a chain !o wearing a cloth scapular turns into a tangled mess, I will be adding this to the chain that holds my miraculous medal and crucifix. This is small, which perfect for my needs. Very satisfied!

This medal is beautiful. I am so happy to have purchased it. I am devoted to this Blessed Mother so this is extra special for me. Additionally, there was another medal that was included as a gift.
