Had a problem and this pump came quickly!

Decided to take a chance but just like some of the other reviews this pump died after only 2 hours of use. The pump was the same size as original but the mounting bracket is off by about a 1/2" and the wires are a little bit shorter, So again not worth the price.

Installed in the OEM mount holes - the hose lined up ok and when done the gen4rator started and ran for 30 minutes under load. Tried it a week later and it started ok, ran about 1 hour - under load.4 weeks later ran for the 3rd time it ran about 20 minutes and sounded like the generator was running out of gas? then it quit and is now dead. This was a good price but didn't last. Very disapointed! It takes about 2 hours to drop the generator out of my camper and swap out teh fuel pump.

The mounting holes are a little off, but still had enough room to adjust the fuel pump to make work. The generator started right up and the fuel pump is working great for now. Only about 15 minutes to install.

So far it works very well. Just not an easy unit to install. I have a class A with a 5500 onan unit that already has had the fuel pump replaced with a box type pump and the original fuel line fittings changed. As a retired auto mechanic I had to slot the mounting bracket and alter it’s shape. The problem is the location of the fuel line that passes through the generators mounting base. Ended up having to enlarge the original hole to clear the fuel line. Some one just located the pump mount bracket in the wrong place on the pump body. Easy to correct in manufacturing and a pain to alter after the fact. The unit primed the carburetor the first time and started right up. The unit is quite and ticks slowly as it should with the generator operating. I have only run for 15 min so far. Will update after a camping trip. Update :: I have been on many trips now and pump operates great Quite and plenty of fuel…. Very pleased !!!

Purchased this pump to replace my 2006 Onan Generator on my RV (Gas). Easy replacement and works well. Do not throw away the old piece. You will need the tip that goes to the carburetor area. Also if you are going to replace this pump pay the extra and get a fuel filter. I paid $140.00 to have the filter replaced (It's cost was $20.00) and it is attached to the fuel pump. I replaced this pump for less than $30.00. (Including shipping) Youtube.com can walk you through the process. I am estimating that I saved $150.00 for this project. Working great! Thanks Amazon and CARMOCAR!!!

The mounting holes didn’t line up at all, but I made it work. Completely fixed our problem.Tip:If you aren’t sure that the fuel pump is bad like we were, run it till it quits, then open the carb. bowl drain screw on the bottom of the carb. and see if any gas comes out.
