I got this set to replace the old cooking utensils I had (4+ years old) and I couldn't be happier with them. The quality is outstanding. The price is great for everything it has. It literally has any tool you would need for your kitchen. Some of them have a silicone handle, which is comfortable enough, while others have a wood handle but a silicone end, which works great on pans and doesn't melt. The only ones that are fully plastic are the measuring cups, which are the lower in quality ones, but other than that, they are incredible. They are easy to use, and do the job perfectly. Thanks to their design and color, they also look incredible! My kitchen is somewhat minimalistic, and these match the color palette perfectly, which is just another reason why I love them so much. All of them are dishwasher safe. I'm very pleased with my order, would definitely recommend

I am so happy with this set!! Thanks Amazon.I've been using my last surviving Pampered Chef cooking tools (they kept snapping in half-- what's up with that?!), to my last Target tongs and spatulas that are falling apart. I'd been silently wishing for some new cooking utensils, and then these Carote utensils came along. The off-white color is so pretty. Perfect if you're into the whole minimal, muted, no color aesthetic. I'm more of a color girl, but still really enjoy the simplistic look of these. I was worried that certain foods will stain the off-white silicone, but despite making tomato-based dishes, they haven't gotten stained. I've only been washing them by hand because of the wood handles. I don't want to ruin them in the dishwasher. I will probably buy some kind of oil to preserve/protect the wood. The utensils are solid, seem to be well-made. The pizza knife, scissors, and peelers are sharp. I tell my kids to NOT touch them, because my kids get into everything. I'm so pleased with this set! 🤌🏽You get a lot of utensils in this set. I think the $50 price is right. I wouldn't spend more than that, though.

This set is uneven. Some of the pieces—notably, the wooden-handled ones—are really impressive. They're heavy, well made, nicely balanced, pretty to look at, and feel good, too. The rubberized working ends (like the spatula and the ladle) feature solid innards—which I'm guessing are wood, not sure. But they inspire confidence. The rest of the set is a mixed bag. The basting brush, for example, is very hefty and nice. Other pieces are decent, such as the scissors (which don't disassemble) and the can opener. But others are lightweight and feel fairly cheap, compared to the beautiful wooden pieces. So the ice cream scoop is tiny. As is the pizza wheel. And the grater. The measuring cups have minuscule embossed lettering which is hard to read.Still, those wooden utensils are really nice. So I think this set is worth the $50 price (as I write this) just for those; consider all the other pieces as add-on's/a bonus.I'm running all of the pieces through a heated-drying-disabled cycle in the dishwasher as I write this, and I expect they'll all do fine. But I'll update this review in case any of them don't.UPDATE: They went through the dishwasher just fine, as I'd expected. I know you're not supposed to put wooden items in the dishwasher, but I've been doing it for years on the heated-drying-disabled cycle, and they fared just as well as all the others.

These are made of silicon (great for high temps), wood (better handles), hard plastic (for cups, etc.) and metal, where needed. So this is clearly better than an all wood or all silicon/metal combination. It looks better and performs better.I have no problem putting the wood into this dishwasher, and I would put any of these into the dishwasher. I don't use the drying cycle in the dishwasher, which is the part that causes wood to get overheated (washing is okay, drying less so). Or if I do want to use the drying cycle (instead of opening the door and letting the residual heat drive off the water as steam, usually in 10 min), I reach in and take out wooden chopsticks, utensils, salad bowls, etc. before "baking" the rest of the dishes dry, which is once in a while what we prefer. I also hand wash utensils as I use them and that's a good habit generally, I find. These work great for that, too.So I think this is a better engineered solution -- particularly if you are upgrading from all plastic ladles, etc. Those really are toxic and this gets you into a healthy alternative with a complete fresh start, which is a great value for a good idea.
