The Heatguard 110-D is a Temperature Actuated Mixing Valve that mixes hot water with cold to deliver tempered water at a controlled temperature to 120F maximum. The Heatguard 110-D is designed to assist in the prevention of scalding. The Heatguard 110-D is intended for installation at the water heater to distribute controlled temperature water through a domestic hot water system. The valve delivers water at a maximum of 120F, allowing the heater to be set at 140F or higher, thus providing a greater effective volume of hot water.

Perfect drop-in replacement for a 24 year old mixing valve in a hydronic heating panel. Thanks to how the original valve was installed it only took me about 10 minutes to complete the replacement thanks to threaded connectors and rubber washers. It has be running for a month now and everything has been perfect although I'm curious about an occasional, very high pitched whine that appears to be coming from the valve. This doesn't appear to be a problem and with the valve in the mechanical room you can't hear the sound from anywhere else in the home.

There might not be much to get excited with a Thermostatic valve but when it works well you just get the right and stable temperature hot water. This valve does just that and the replacement fitted exactly and simply for our installed. Even called the manufacture who were friendly to confirm what exactly we needed for our setup and were all fine wherever we acquired the parts. We needed it fast as the old one was no longer working and cold-water shower are not fun in winter.The construction is great, comes with all the necessary installation part, proper indication of inbound cold and hold water and outbound line. Washer includes filter mesh to prevent deposit from going through. The material was rock solid and you can clearly see assembly.

My Combi boiler works great for heating the house but in the winter when the temperature is turned up heating the house and you can pretty much boil vegetables with the water coming out of the tap. I finally decided to order one of these and this product worked perfectly. I crank the dial down a few times to get it where I'm not scalding my hand under the faucet. The quality is very good. You can see in the picture how I hooked up mine up. Don't zoom in on the welds. LOL. The important part is there were no leaks. 😁

At random times, there would be no hot water anywhere in the house.I checked the water heater: there was some hot water at the pressure relief valve and at the drain valve.I found out that banging (softly) on the thermostatic valve with a hammer temporarily fixed the issue.So I changed this valve. I just needed a big wrench for the installation.Now, the problem is solved.The valve is already tuned to the correct temperature
