This is the only fly mask I’ll ever buy, others rip very early on in the season but this one lasts forever. The eye darts make it comfortable for my horse who has uveitis.

Good quality mask, beautiful color Horse size is a perfect fit for my 15 hh QH mare, I like them to be larger in the front to not run on the eyes, this mask dit perfectly on her face...also velcro is very strong to hold securely

My previous purchase in horse size was too big under the throat and had to cut and restitch in order to use. Ordered next size down when time to replace and too small; ordered horse size wounded warrior design and perfect fit. Been buying fly masks for 40 years and hands down Cashel is best fitting, softest seen.

Cashel stuff is always built to last and the double velcro keeps it on. I like the soft lining at the top so it doesn't rub between her ears and it fits well at the bottom so it doesn't snag or tear on the stall door.

I am so glad I bought this for my horse last spring. He is a notorious fly mask remover and he had a hard time ditching this one. The blue mesh made it easy for me to find in the pasture (not sure about you but I don't love wandering around a 5 acre field in the hot summer sun to find a fly mask) and made it easy to distinguish who's fly mask belonged to whom. The velcro is strong and made it through a very long summer without losing its grip and the mask itself held up really well considering he likes to rub it on trees and fencing to try and get it off. I highly recommend this product- even for horses that are tough on their fly masks!!

I buy 2 Cashel masks every summer, they are the best, very rugged yet designed with comfort of the horse in mind. My OTTB seems to find a way to pull it off every once in a while if it's not snugged up enough, but I think that's pretty common. Lesser quality masks tend to fray over the eye socket, where horses love to rub; Cashels don't. I especially liked that I could support Wounded Warriors with my annual purchase, and admire the company for providing this option.

I have three horses, and frankly, I'm stumped. All three 'lose' their masks at least twice a week. One is a 14-2 hand fatty with a babydoll head. One is a 15 hand average Qhorse with somewhat of a narrow jughead. The last is over 16 hands and although her head is very feminine, her head is large. I bought 'horse' size for all 3, and I feel these fit well. Maybe the smaller horse has a bit extra strap that I have to fold to fit it well against her jowl, but other than that, it's all good. And I LOVE these masks as they stay away from the eye area well, don't rub the hair off, don't sweat the horses where they are close (behind ears and across muzzle), and keep their shape even after a few washing (gentle cycle, minimal soap). But they must slide off easily, usually when the horse decides to stick their fool head in the bushes, or scratch heavily against the steel pipe gate. I'm sure it is because of the soft, stretchy material at the top. However, all the pluses outweigh the need for a walk-about a few times a week to find a missing mask (or two...). I guess I'd say to buy one size smaller if your acreage is big enough that mask-recovery would be a hardship.
