I plugged a cable into the headphone jack to be able to perform thru external speakers and it has a VERY annoying hiss!

I needed a very thin piano for the room this was going in (pretty small room and need the space) but wanted a nicer electric piano look than just a keyboard on a stand. So very happy with the size, and it’s a pretty decent piano. I did not love the assembly, and I’ve put together a few pianos 😆 I have a music school, so buying and assembling pianos is pretty familiar to me. This one was not intuitive and the instructions were not the best. Just from that, I wouldn’t buy this piano again unless space was the issue.I bought Kawai KDP75 Digital Home Piano a few months ago and it was very easy to assemble and came with a bench (which this piano does not) and is cheaper than this piano and in my opinion feels better to play as well!

I love music, and I like playing around with multiple instruments. I'm no good on piano, but this fits the bill. I don't have to worry about it being beside a baseboard heater. A real piano would take up too much room, and the extreme temperature and humidity changes in my home would be hard on a piano. This unit sounds excellent to me. It doesn't have the fake sound of my much older and cheaper keyboard. It resonates, and it seems like there's a lot of technology at work, to try and convince you that it's trying to be a real piano. They keys are also very nice, and weighted.Assembly was slow. Be careful, as the instructions are hard to read, even for a technical person. Also have someone help you out, because it's awkward to assemble due to its weight.

I trained as a classical pianist at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and later at University of Toronto, so I play at a professional level (or I did, a career change meant I hadn't played in a while.) My main concern was to have a digital piano that was responsive to touch and had weighted keys.To make a long story short, I have been thrilled with the Casio from day one. I'm sure I'm not using half of the features, but fyi, this model gives you all that you'd expect from the digital-online era, such as ability to record, a built-in metronome and various mixtures of piano tone from bright to mellow, and emulation of various concert halls... I just love the way it feels. The keys aren't plasticky, they feel almost like old fashioned ivory keys. Because music is in my blood, bones and soul, this purchase has been my best on Amazon...One thing: it was tricky to put together, although I'm a klutz at such tasks to begin with. You might want to have a practical putting-things-together type friend to help you with assembly. Thank you, Casio!

ADORE this piano. For years I have tried to get by with keyboards and controllers after growing up with an upright acoustic piano. Searching for the feel/sound but never being satisfied so I havnt played much. Since getting this electric piano I have been playing the piano all the time! It feels and sounds sooooo realistic to the point I havnt even messed with the app to check out all the other features. My only complaint is the pedals dont match the quality of the keyboard but still... theyre better than other pianos/controllers I have used. Feel like I have a REAL piano or mini grand in my house now!

Great instrument for the money. We wanted an actual small baby grand piano, but we have forced air heat and we were told we would have to tune it 5 times a year at about $400 per tuning. Not ok. It sounds great and the keys are weighted like a real piano. Much music built in, and you can add more. My son has been taking lessons for 2 years and loves it. It doesn't have the charisma or furniture status of real baby grand, so if that's what you want look to Yamaha or Baldwin. But you will spend a lot more. A lot. O, and the directions for assembly are bad, so look to You Tube. Lots of assembly videos there. Best of luck.

Piano sounds fantastic and comes with enough features that moves it a little beyond just an electric piano. Assembly was easy, however you may need a second person to help towards the end as the product is indeed heavy. It plays absolutely wonderfully, it sounds wonderful, and comes with a handful of piano fonts that lets you vary it up. It's sturdy and does not feel cheap. Just an all around great electric piano.

I have been playing piano since I was 8 years old. In 2005 I was in a wreck and became wheelchair bound and unable to play anymore. Since then, I have missed the experience of playing so much. I haven't played at all in all these years. My husband surprised me with this Casio Px 870 and it is wonderful. I am having to learn all over again and am now in my sixties. But, I am enjoying every moment of this experience. The sound is wonderful and the feel of the keys is so much like a regular piano; I can barely tell a difference. I am so delighted with this instrument and to have playing music back in my life!

The sound quality is equal to that of the $4,500 Yamaha pianos I've played. It really sounds and feels like a real piano. This is true for the piano sound and the harpsichord. The strings setting is an amazing bonus.bPerfect piano for an intermediate player, that will leave you lacking nothing. Also amazing easy to assemble and I love how compact it is.

I'll write a proper review later, but considering there is a blatantly wrong answer on the questions section and some confusion online as to how to make the piano work with your tablet and headphones, here are some easy answers.YES, it does work with Android! In order to get your phone/tablet to work with the piano you need a USB C to USB B adapter if your phone is a later model with USB C. You cannot make it work with a USB plug on the piano, you can only use it to transfer your recorded songs. A USB C to USB B cable is on amazon for ten bucks.Your headphones will work fine but they will most likely need an adapter. The available plug in for the headphones is a 6.35mm, so you will need a 6.35mm to 3.5mm Audio Jack Adapter. There is more than one Chordana app in the Google Play Store, you want 'Chordana Play for Piano' not 'Chordana Play'. It'll allow you to access different tones for the piano a lot easier this way. I also believe that the 'teach' section is only available for Apple, since the Apple version of this app advertises it.Hope that helps!

Having no musical instruments, got this as a new hobby to get me off my screens. It’s half the cost of a laptop from the popular tech company named after a fruit!I went with white even though it’s not a popular option since I had decided that my work room furniture is going to be all white. Black would have annoyed me for years to come even if it would be easier to resell later on.This really is a piece of furniture. It does not take up too much space but it helps to make space for it. It’s very enjoyable to play on. I have no basis for comparison and probably spent too much on this new hobby but it’s a pleasure to use whether I’m spending time learning piano, just having fun stringing up random melodies, or needing an indoor escape from digital screens.
