This arrived in shrink-wrap, and I couldn't imagine it "puffing out" to correct size. I was wrong, and it didn't take long for it to get into its proper size and shape. It did have a noxious smell upon removal from the plastic wrap, but a couple of hours later, the smell was gone. Both of my cats have tried it, and it passes muster with them. They like their own blankets, etc., so I did have to drape a fleece blanket over it before they would use it. I doubt it reflects any bad issues with the product, just finicky cats. I would highly recommend this, it's really cute.

I bought this because I thought it was funny. I wasn't sure if our cat or small dogs would enjoy it. It appears to be a win all around. Our one small dog loves it the most, I think he likes the tall walls and that it feels like a nest. I with the pillow in it was plushier, but I added a blanket and he loves it. DOG BED WIN.

I didn't think my cat would like it, but she is in it every day.. Its very cute and cozy.
