We've set up a few cat perches over the years, but this one has quickly become the hangout of choice. The cats love being able to sit above my desk while I work, allowing them a clear view of the computer, desk, and the entire room. The base metal base and arms provide a sturdy platform that can hold the weight of a cat without issues. The 15" extension gives a height that the cats can reach easily while also creating their own personal space. Before getting this, a cat would inevitably sit in my lap, which obstructed my work, but now it's easy for all of us to hang out. It's simple to set up and easy to adjust.I've put this in different places and haven't had any issues with it. Users have complained about the absence of rubber padding on the metal clamp, which resulted in marks on a wooden surface. I haven't had that issue with any of the surfaces I've set this up on, even our wooden table. It probably depends on the hardness of the wood.

This is a solid raised cat bed. The metal frame is super strong and free from defects. The frame and bed are easy to assemble and the instructions are straightforward. Once assembled and set up, the cat bed feels like it will stay put well. I had one of my cats try it out and she is around 16 lbs. My cat may have been a little large for the bed area as she hung over just a bit. I feel the bed area would better hold kittens and cats up to maybe 12 lbs as they will be able to snuggle into the circle inside the fluffy edge of the bed. Large adult cats may have a little harder time getting comfortable in this bed. The bedding is white, fluffy and soft. I appreciate that the height can be adjusted up or down to fit the need of my space. It can also be swiveled around to where I need it. This must be done before tightening the screw, because once the screw is tightened, the bed won't move or rotate. Therefore, you'll want to be sure you have it where you want it before giving the screw a final tighten.These types of beds are a favorite of my cats as they always want to be near me while I am working. These beds are a perfect compromise, as the beds seem to satisfy a cat's need for attention as they can at least be within the same space. Although, sometimes one of my cats will reach out from the bed with her paw to give me a couple of pats to let me know she's near me. This cat bed would be a perfect choice if the bed was just a little larger. This bed is still in the top end of beds though, as the construction is solid and well put together.

Wasn't sure if this bed would be a hit or not, but it is!I initially put her into it since it was brand new and in my office space. Once in, she had a blast. Our cat is about 7 pounds and the bed is a perfect size for her. She can sit up easily or curl up into a ball to sleep. The little ball on a string is a hit, too. She swats it around and really seems to enjoy the challenge.As far as the quality is concerned, it is pretty well built. When clamped down on the desk, it is very sturdy. I did have to add a small piece of wood under the desk to give the whole clamp a solid surface. My only complaint is the top plate of the clamp. They need to put a piece of rubber on the top portion of the bottom clamp. Without a piece of rubber, it leaves a tiny impression in the wood. I've got enough 3M adhesive rubber pieces that I can attach to it. Other than that, no complaints. The bed material is soft and can be easily removed for cleaning.Overall, a nice cat bed for the price. Definitely recommended.

My cat is a little picky about her toys and sleeping arrangements. She'll use something for about a week and then get sick of it and look to me for a solution. I wanted this to give her yet another option for somewhere to perch, nap, and lurk.The clamp is sturdy enough on its own, but I did opt to also throw a couple screws into the spot where the mount clamps into the table. My cat is about 12lbs so this just made me feel more comfortable.It is easy to swivel into different orientations around the pole itself as well as up and down the pole to make it higher or lower.It seems comfy as-is, but I threw one of my cat's fuzzy blankets in it as well. It took some coaxing initially, but once Karma got used to it she seems to enjoy it.I'd recommend to anyone with cats who like to perch or sit high so they can "look down upon the goofy humans", if your cat likes to sit on your keyboard or laptop while you work, or next to a window/on a window sill, or similar.Good price for something so simple, and should improve my cat's quality of life a little more.

Installation was fairly easy, rather small screws akward screws on the bar part, but not a ton of them, so it goes together quickly. Everything looks sturdy and well made, except the little dangly ball, which broke almost immediately. But I'm not sure what purpose that served anyway, as it's under where the cat would sit. However, I cannot recommend this seat - my cat won't sit in it. I managed to get a picture of him in it briefly. If we set him in it he'll sit there for 5 seconds and then leave. The bed itself is SO SO SO TINY! Large cats need not apply. Our cat is very large and he would not fit here, and he unfortunately is not one of those cats that enjoys squeezing into small spaces, so I don't think we'll get any use out of this.

I was certain the bed on this would be too small for my 16 lbs cat, but he loves it. This is a very heavy duty post and clamp bed that simply does NOT move once installed. The bed shelf and bed cover are great quality. It is a SMALL bed with an 11-12 inch interior circle, but my cat just curls right up in it to be near me when I'm working. The cover has a lot of overlap (unlike some cat furniture where the round covers barely fit over the base) and there's a lot of stuffing in the bolster. I'm very pleased with this. I wish it were gray rather that white, but so far it is staying pristine and unstained, and fur is easy to clean off it.
