Pros: The metal hooks are large enough to work with knee-saver type pads. (Small size strap buckle-hooks will slide through the loops on knee-saver pads).Cons: The strap ends are not sewn onto the metal hooks. Having to loop the straps multiple times through the buckle-hook creates a large bulge pushing against the leg/shin-guard.Major Con: The straps do not retain elasticity. Even when first installing the straps, I could feel, hear and see the straps stretching and then not returning to original length. The straps kept coming unhooked, and my son had to keep re-tightening after just 2 baseball games.

Put new straps on in beginning of summer softball season. Have played in 20+ games and straps are holding up fine. No breaks & haven’t lost elasticity.

Ordered this set together with their knee savers. All work well with my Champion gear. A very professional seller the hook is made of Stainless Steel and the straps have reasonable length that's what I prefer and the reason why I ordered them. So far it does the job well.
