These hoops are not great quality. I received one in particular where the outer hoop is out of square to such a degree that it cannot grip the fabric tightly.Considering the low price, I'm not terribly upset about this. They'll do. I just really needed square hoops for this project and didn't want plastic.

One hoop arrived broken. The hoops do not hold the fabric very well, I have to constantly readjust the tension. 1/10 do not recommend.

The smallest hoop has gouges and splinters that catch on the fabric and stick my fingers. RETURN is the only option, no way to request a REPLACEMENT of just the smallest hoop, so I'm going to keep all 3 hoops and only use the larger two. Shouldn't have to, should be able to have the smallest one replaced.

I wayed over 6 weeks for this to be delivered and when t arrived it was broken. It was obvious to see that they had just got three round hoops and put cables round d them to squish them.i to an oval. If the process had been done properly by steaming the bamboo to get it softer and to gently shape it it would have been fine but 2 of the hoops had stress fractures from being squeezed together by force. Very disappointed with them company who made them.

I needed a square hoop of a certain size, and these weren't right. But the reason I gave 3 stars is they're a bit flimsey. I like working with natural materials, so the wood was good - but they were more awkward to control with the fabric than other hoops I have.

I just got into hand embroidering, and wanted to start with traditional wooden oval hoops. So far they’re working. I’m using the largest of the set, and it seems to be going all right, however I’m not sure if it’s the way I’m handling my cloth or it’s the hoop, but the material keeps slipping and not as taut throughout my time working on it, and I have to keep adjusting it to make it tight again. I’m a newbie, so I’ll learn a way to overcome this, but it so far works.

Most embroidery hoops are round. Sometimes an oval option is right for the piece. Glad I found these. They are lightweight, as most hoops are, but they have held tight and look great.

Nice and smooth with squared shape and most importantly, long screws so it even handles this wool felt and heavy fabrics. Great price too.
