First the included headset for the 1 inch threaded fork was for a 1 1/8 thread less fork. Used my old one. These tubes are pretty thin metal even being 31mm or so diameter they are like conduit. No conduit is thicker. But they work and I needed a steel fork for the electric front wheel on one of my gas bikes and rigid is the way to go. Those steel suspension forks are sketchy. They have allot of play when braking and in my case accelerating as well. But I am wondering if the fork I replaced was actually stronger.
