I have purchased a ceiling hanger before with the focus on it being smooth and silent.Comparing the 2 hangers, I notice a few differences. This hanger comes with 2 extra screws.Having a ceiling with wooden bars and sheetrock in between, the 2 extra screws make the anchor point more rigid. Both hangers have bearings for the 360-degree swivel. The 180-degree swing of this hanger is just an axle in a hole. The other hanger has a lubricated bushing to silence for smoother and silent action.By applying lubricant to this axle at the installation time, you can prevent this connection from being noisy.Yet, since there is no prevention of dissipation of the lubricant, you have to reapply lubricant on a regular basis.A limitation of both hangers is the exposure to the elements: heat, water, frost, ..Can I install this hanger outside? Or is it indoors only?As summary, this hanger can take a beating and does a decent attempt at making the movement smooth.

We purchased this ceiling mount to hang a hanging chair, and it's been perfect so far! The stainless steel build feels incredibly sturdy, and the double bearing swivel allows for smooth 360-degree rotation without any annoying squeaks or stiffness. It holds up well to movement, and the 900 lb weight capacity gives us confidence in its durability.Installation was straightforward, with included expansion bolts for concrete and screws for wood beams. Everything felt secure once mounted. One small tip—if using this outdoors, you may want to apply some lubricant occasionally to keep it running smoothly, as another reviewer mentioned.Overall, it's a solid, well-built mount that’s working great for our hanging chair! Highly recommend.
