I had to paint some screws we needed in fastening powder coated aluminum for a job we had. Cerakote was the best alternative other than powder coating the screws. I had made the decision later to use screws as we initially thought we would double face tape and silicone the aluminum to the substrate. Fortunately, I had previous experience using this product. I must say, if it's your first time, and if you only have a small project you need done, it may benefit you to have someone else do the work for you. It can be expensive buying everything you need to Cerakote your project(compressor, spray gun, respirator, sandblaster, etc). If you plan on doing more than one project then it's worth the investment.I was able to simply degrease my parts and skip the sandblasting. My biggest concern was the possibility of when baking the parts that the paint smell would overwhelm my house. It actually wasn't that bad and cleared out with just using my hood fan. The video explained each step and process needed to produce a quality job. If you like doing things yourself I think you'll find Cerakote the perfect product.

Nice finish on this product. Very durable and high quality. Bought in different colors and all worked out very nice. Finished my knife with this and it’s holding up very well. Better than factory quality. Price is high, but worth it if you want a good end result.
