I liked the thickness, 1/4”, because my compost bucket has 2 specific levels for 2 thick filters.Never have seen one like this…but it works.

Purchased these filters for our countertop compost bin. I was able to trim the filter to fit perfectly into the lid. No more stinky odor escapes and no issues with gnats. Will definitely purchase again when needed.

Fits well (I didn’t have to trim them ). Stays in place, keeps odors inside. No problem with fruit flies.

Size is exactly what I needed in diameter overall filter is good. Though the .4" was not all the case for each piece. There were 2 that were uneven in cut or was thinner than the .4" identified on the product detail. One of the reason I choose this over the other product. Please make sure you have a good quality control when packaging would be my recommendation.

Got this charcoal filters set. Very good quality, they are thick and the smell doesn’t get away, I like it. Fits perfectly in my compost pail.
