It is plastic, but that's all a ripe banana requires to cut it. Works great and cleans easily. Recommended.

I dehydrate banana slices for my 2 dogs as treats. This is a good way to get the task done in a good time frame.

Great tool to use instead of an egg slicer. Easy to use, pay attention if washing by hand.

This thing is actually fun!It works great on bananas, but I haven't tried it on other things. Super fast.Just a quick rinse to clean. It's plastic but sturdy. I think it's probably better than the ones with metal blades - stronger and easier to clean.I'm sure it won't cut sausages, but I doubt that the steel-bladed ones really do either without breaking.

Love this banana slicer. It’s fast and made uniform slices. Also easy to clean.

It works great; each slice is the same size and it's easy to clean. After using mine, I bought 2 more for family and a friend. I will buy more for Christmas gifts this year.
