This is the best knitting needle out there in my opinion. I have a lot of fixed length ChiaoGoo needles and love them all. Once I tried them I wanted one in every size. The cord is amazing, it doesn't kink, its super manageable. I wish all needles had cords like Chiaogoo because I actually sometimes like other brands of actual needles but because of the cord alone, I keep coming back to this brand. I like this size for socks. I've tried 1.0 but honestly, that is just so small for me and I don't have issues with socks that I knit with 1.5 so I'm just going to keep using this size. The 32 inch cord is perfect for socks or sweaters (if you want to knit a sweater with a 1.5 needle, too small for me for sweaters). I use magic loop and this cord is perfect for that. It is flexible, doesn't flip around like other brands do, the cord does exactly what you want it to do. The tip is nice and sharp. The join is great, nice and smooth, no problems with the join. Very enjoyable needle to knit with.

I’ve always preferred bamboo needles over metal because I’ve always found metal too slippery, resulting in dropped stitches. These have just the right balance of slip and grip, and the super flexible cord makes them ideal for magic loop knitting. I do wish the points were an inch shorter and that they tapered more to the cord.

I've only been knitting for a couple of years but I very quickly learned the type of knitting needles I prefer. I tried several brands before I discovered ChiaoGoo Red Lace Circular needles. They are the only brand of needle I use. I don't use the type with separate needles and cords so I have no experience with them. I use the type with needles permanently attached to the cords. These are very high quality! The needles are smooth and a good length and the cords are not too stiff. They are very comfortable and easy to use. I highly recommend the ChiaoGoo Red Lace Circular needles.

I bought this to free up another interchangeable set for a fine lace project and make a quick pair of socks. I usually depend on my Hiya Hiyas, but I am very pleased with the quality of this Chai Goo fixed cable sock needle. If anything, their cable flexibility exceeds Hiya Hiya (and everyone else, too) while being securely and smoothly joined to the needle. There is a lot of value in this Chai Goo circular, and I think I will be using it more and more for these kinds of projects.
