I experienced difficulty running this into the chimney and as a result was reluctant to force it into the chimney pipe. It was a 10 inch brush for a 10 inch pipe. I trimmed 1 inch off the brush ends in order for it to fit properly.

Bought the poly brush because I read it was recommended for stainless flues... won't scratch them up, leading to more soot accumulation. Worked like a champ.

just so everyone knows, this brush REQUIRES A 3/8 INCH ROD. These are hard to find and expensive, compared to the 1/4 inch rods. You can buy an adapter, but that will cost you about $20. However, if you need the 10inch brush, we really dont have a choice do we?
