I recently spent two days in the hospital after foot surgery, and this gown was really comfortable and easy to wear when you are rolling around in a strange bed. The fabric was soft and not see through, the color and designs on the fabric were also quite nice. It was also easy to get in and out of.

According to the Size Chart, I should have ordered a Medium, but since I normally wear a Petite Large, or an Extra Large if I want a loose fit, I ordered this hospital gown in an XL. I was glad I did. The sleeves were comfortable, and the overlap in the back was just right. I’m about 5’3”, and the gown’s hem came just above my knees. I wouldn’t have wanted it any shorter. The sleeves were nearly two inches too long, but they looked OK when I turned them up. It gave the print sleeves the appearance of having white cuffs. The gown is well made, and the fabric is very soft. I got the blue/green print with butterflies and flowers. If I ordered again, I would choose a solid color because the underside would be the same color and not as noticeable as the white backing of the print fabrics. The washing directions said to hand wash separately, but I put the gown in a sweater bag, threw it in with other dark delicate clothing, and machine washed it on gentle cycle. It came out without any wrinkles or snags and dried on the rack overnight. This gown would work for back or knee surgery, but I think it would be difficult to put on after arm or shoulder surgery because of the long sleeves. The gown could be worn backwards for nursing a new baby. I checked with my local hospital, and they said that they didn't have any problem with patients wearing their own gowns after surgery and during rehab.

I didn’t really care for this because it wasn’t the color that I ordered so it was pretty much ugly. I got blue instead of black. The one that was sent was just really ugly so it’s a definite no for me.
