This 12 inch mirror attaches to the windshield on a swivel mount, and can be tilted to reduce the brightness and glare of headlights shining directly at eye level. The front and rear internal faces of the Day/Night mirror glass are not parallel to one another, allowing a manual tab adjustment to switch between day and night positions. In the day position, the front face is slanted and the reflective back-side provides a strong reflection. When in the night position, its reflective rear face is slanted out of line of the driver’s sight. Since the non-reflective front allows the majority of the light to pass through, only a tiny amount of light is reflected into the driver’s eyes. This means an increase in both safety and comfort at a fraction of dealer costs. Also available in an 8 inch design (part number 31000), 10 inch design (part number 32000), and a design featuring map lights (part number 36000). Fits OEM mounting on all cars, trucks and vans. I use my own glue but this mirror looks great in the truck nice and large.

Like so many other reviews, the mirror (Model 33000) vibrates so badly that the mirror is virtually useless. The ball and socket joint that is attached to the back of the mirror is faulty and won't hold the mirror steady. I took a chance hoping my experience would be different from so many others, but it was not. Amazon needs to seriously consider pulling this from their website until CIPA addresses and fixes the poor manufacturing issue.

I am very happy with this mirror, it is a good size, clear and light weight, I have a Buick Regal and the factory mirror is so heavy, it has two good size reading light in it, the little holder came off the windshield and I had trouble gluing another one on that would stay because the factory mirror was so heavy, this mirror work great., I just used some galleria double backing heavy duty tape.

This was a replacement mirror for a '93 vehicle. It works well enough, and has nice width. It isn't real sturdy and vibrates sometimes because the frisction joints aren't real strong. For the price and application I would buy it again, but it is not OEM quality.

This is the one to buy for almost any application.If your old one just fell off you will need a good single edge razor blade scraper and possibly brake parts cleaner (this stuff is evil)Totally clean is critical beyond words.Mirror comes with metal puck and this needs to be cleaned carefully. Read the instructions. Cutting corners will mean you will be buying a new glue kit. and take the blame for not doing it right. Plastic pucks will not serve you well if at all.If the glue kit blister package you choose has dust on it the thing is probably over the hill. It should also smell like just off the press. Six months on a glue kit is about the limit. Walmart has a huge turnover and is a good place to start looking for the glue kit. Fresh is critical with this kind of glue.Take time also to carefully clean the new puck that came with the mirror. If you failed to follow instructions perfectly you will need to soak the metal puck in an at least 4 ounces covered bottle of acetone or MEK over night to remove the failed glue followed with a scrubbing with a small metal bristle brush. It and the window must be NASA space flight clean. If you touched either glass or metal surface start over cleaning.

It was big mistake when I swapped Chevy digital compass rear view mirror before donating to charity and I was back in market for rear view mirror but stock rear view mirror was way more expensive so I ordered this mirror.I was about to give two stars but decided to give extra star because I'll keep using this mirror until it breaks or sell the car but If someone asks my opinion whether to buy this mirror and I would definitely say "NO"This mirror was close to my stock mirror i.e it covers wide area of rear windshield albeit cheap made plastic and quality(you get what you pay for).Cons:You can feel vibrations depending on the road it's like twerking when going gets tough(or is it rough???)It doesn't cut high beam glare at night and if you try to flip the mirror towards the roof (anti glare) the mirror distorts and warps image so bad seriously inducing headache(pregnant ladies stay away it can induce labor j/k).Pivot point feels loose for adjustments.

I already bought this in a 10 inch. The piece that attaches to the windshield is the exact same as the factory installed already on my car. All I had to do is unscrew and slide my mirror off, and slide this one on and tighten. Mirror has no distortion. Everything is seen in their true size. Distortion creates accidents because everything appears smaller and you cannot tell how close you are to other cars. This is why some people cut you off, many factory mirrors are distorted and also too small.
