Your cart is empty.The Cleat Seat Retractable Dock Cleat is the cleat seat that won’t hurt your feet! The Cleat Seat provides the convenience of a dock cleat without the stubbed toes that often come along with them. This sturdy 6.5 inch x 10 inch dock cleat features a 2.75 inch high cleat that folds into a 1.25 inch low profile base to provide a smooth top surface. Coupled with its angled sides, this patented design prevents toe stubbing and tripping, and is a boating safety innovation that is provided only by CIPA. The Cleat Seat is also both strong and durable. It is made of a nylon composite that is rated at 27,000 pounds per square inch of tensile strength. The materials will not corrode in salt air, and is UV stabilized to deflect heat up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The Cleat Seat provides more safety and style than the old fashioned aluminum cleats. The Cleat Seat is available in solid black (part number 02100 (CS100)), or in white with a black cleat (part number 02101 (CS101)). Mounting hardware not included.

White color is a good visibility and it’s nice to not stub your toe or trip over it like the standard metal cleats

I bought three and then these other three. They work well and mostly eliminate tripping. The seams on the cleat have rough and sharp edges enough to scuff up your lines. Some Dremel work and sanding. Take care of that. The first three cleats operate very stiffly, and have to be pried into position. The way they are built, grease doesn’t help. The last three stiff, but can be pulled up with finger.

I added these to both of my docks. They took a minute to install on the vinyl dock, but work great. On the wood dock, the installation was a breeze. Now my neighbors have ordered them after seeing them in action at my house.

I haven't yet installed these on my dock but they look like they will do a great job. They are larger than I expected and am sure they will secure anything I tie to them. The hole in the middle is actually 1" in diameter, plenty large enough.

Just installed two of these over the weekend. Works great and looks good. Used 5/16 x 2.5 galvanized screws (bolt head, not Phillips or hex) with 1 flat washer. You will need 6 of them. Very sturdy. Highly recommended.
