When tack fused, the crystals remain sharp. When fully fused, they simply melt into the underlying glass leaving a shiny sort of smudge. Apparently you need to pile it higher and deeper to get a good effect.

The item shipped fast. Not always an easy item to find. The seller didn't state the size so I wasn't sure if I was getting what I needed. The jar is 8.5 ounces and that is a typical amount.
