I have a airplane clock, the kind that have the nose of the plane cut off and a clock in the hole. After many years the clock failed. I looked everywhere for a replacement clock but could not find this size. When I was offered this one I was very happy, it happened to be the size I been looking for for a few years. Has a rubber gasket around the clock that holds it in place so replacement was very easy. Just pry the old one out and push this one in. Needs one AAA battery that usually last a long time, These are quartz, and quartz are always very accurate clocks. Very nice face. Perfect fit for my airplane clock, I am very happy to be able to tell time with this clock, it was a gift that I enjoy

I have a small clock that my grandfather made using a lathe and his other woodworking tools before he passed, and the clock itself stopped working many years ago... but I was able to put this one straight in with a AAA battery, and the clock lives once again!I like the silicone band around the back of the clock to keep it in place snugly and without moving around. It's tricky to get the battery in and out, but it works well once it's in place.
