It is the best hoop I have ever had. It stays on the project well. Not as good with quilting. I do love the unique tightening mechanism. I had very little trouble with my thread catching. It was a reasonable price. Would love to see it in additional sizes. It is a sturdy little hoop.

I learned to embroider using the old-fashion metal hoops, and then switched over to the bamboo variety in the '80s. Things fall apart, and I needed to replace one. What I received was a modern Clover version in plastic. Now, I am against all-things-plastic just on aesthetic principles, but I'll make an exception here. This is wonderful. The thumbscrew now has a cover over it, so getting your floss tangled up in it is a non-issue. What happens on the reverse side of your fabric is Your problem, and Clover can't help you there. :-D

I have done quite a bit of needlework over the years and have used all sorts of hoops. Plastic, wooden, round, oval, squared frames, you name it I have tried it. This Clover hoop is a keeper. Easy to put your fabric into, holds snug but not too tightly. Smooth so no rough edges to need to deal with. Absolutely appreciate the closing mechanism. My thread never catches and tangles on it. Very well thought out. I find it well worth the price. Worth considering if you enjoy doing needlework.

This is my favorite embroidery hoop. Most of my embroidery projects are sized for a 6” hoop, but I like to use one inch larger for stitching just in case the fabric gets marred or discolored near the edge of the hoop. I like that the tightening mechanism on this hoop is easier to use than transitional hoops and that it does not catch thread as easily. As with any hoop you do have to retighten as you use, and occasionally this hoop does not hold the fabric as gauge as I would like, but wrapping the inner hoop with a layer of fabric solves this. Great hoop!

I love this hoop for stitching with. The fabric stays perfectly taut. I will likely buy another and would love to have enough for all my smaller WIPs. I hope I can find something as effective for the larger project I'm starting next month.

Ho trovato questo telaio molto comodo. Ricamo a punto croce e ricamo tradizionale. Ero un po’ scettica per il materiale ( plastica) ma ne sono contentissima. Lo consiglio. Consegna Amazon impeccabile

I haven't used a hoop for my cross stitching for ages, but I'm working on a few projects where it seemed a good idea to try again. I bought this one and another brand, and this one is definitely my favorite. The casing around the adjustment mechanism is brilliant. My thread is much less likely to get caught up on the screw. It also gives me a good handhold while stitching. The fabric stays taut. Even my hubby thought this was the better design of the two purchases.

I like this hoop. Easy to tighten, and keeps the fabric relatively taut. As others mentioned, the fabric loosens slightly while working the piece. I've been embroidering over 40 years and have yet to find one that doesn't; possibly with the exception of old metal ones with extremely tight springs. The floss can become caught between the screw and the plastic screw cover, but not as often as the open screw type. On the plus side, it's light and relatively comfortable to hold. I ordered the 7" and it seems to fit most projects without moving it too often.
