I have purchased 5 of these ... I use them in hotels and international flights on planes. They are the perfect weight to be light enough to pack but heavy enough to keep me comfortable. Also I wash the heck out of them after each trip to sanitize. I run warmer so if you run cold it may not be enough but perfect for me and my teenage boys now use them too!

I used this for the first time a few weeks ago on a 2 week long trip to Central America. I loved that it has a built in pillow cover (some of the hostels we stayed in the pillows looked questionably clean to me). I am 5'2" so I have zero trouble getting into this travel sheet and I don't think it would be an issue even if I were taller as the material is nice and stretchy. I opted for the longer version of this and I am glad I did because I tend to roll around a lot and curl up, so it gave me some extra room. Totally a great buy and I can't wait to use it on my next trip!

I used it on my last trip to Europe and I felt in love with it. No need to carry a neck pillow because the small pillows from the plane can be used on the area to place the pillow. I felt extremely comfortable and had no issues with being too cold or too hot during the flight. It is amazing to fall asleep. The only negative thing would be getting in and out of this while trying to walk or go somewhere in the plane. I would buy a couple more as present :)

I bought this travel sheet for a December trip to the south of Spain (generally weather in the 40's-50's Fahrenheit) and could not be more happy with it. I wrap it around myself like a shawl to cover my head and shoulders while sleeping or hanging out in my room. The material feels very soft on the skin, is moisture-wicking as it says, provides an added though light layer of comfort (a supplement to PJs albeit), and dries quickly when washed (1.5 hours in 55 degree Fahrenheit weather with a bit of sun). It folds up and packs away in its pouch super easily; it takes up a bit of room in the pack, but worth it for the use I get out of it. Makes being away from home feel more homey. A note this isn't a blanket nor should it be mistaken for one, though it does cut the chill in indoor air when used as a shawl. Seems it could be a bit difficult to get out of when in bed (sticks to clothes a bit when fully covered in it), but the material is stretchy so you don't feel claustrophobic when sleeping in it. Great purchase.

What I like: The Cocoon is very lightweight and compact, so I intend to carry it with me often on overnight trips. It has plenty of room (I'm 5'11", 170 lbs), and the "pillow pocket" worked well. Made of synthetic material that is easy to care for, both in the backcountry and once I returned home. Getting in and out of it in a dark room at night was a bit challenging, and a couple of times I stressed the seams at the top of the bag when entering. I don't have the highest confidence that the seams won't eventually give out, given my occasional challenges getting into the bag.

Edited to add to my original post: I have by now bought a number of these for family members. My niece said it's like a swaddle for adults. My friend's daughter tried it out and promptly fell asleep . There's just something so cozy about it. I love this travel sac so much. I don't quite understand all the negative reviews. This item is not heavy, however it's pretty warm given how thin it is. And it's packable. It's an awesome product. I use this when I travel. It's great for such things as sleeping over at the hospital with a sick relative, or maybe sleeping on the couch at someone's house. I've also used it to take a nap at home. I climb in, pull the sheet way up and snooze away. Im sure it would be great for camping too but I haven't used it for that. I'm a small person, but I find the complaints about having trouble getting in and out overstated. It's really not that hard, people! The fabric is very soft and stretchy (unlike another reviewer I didn't think it was itchy AT ALL!). In the cold you might need a blanket As well.

I ended up returning this sheet and getting the Cocoon silk/cotton blend sheet b/c I wanted something that was more compact and weighed less. Don't know if this sheet is effective but it is fairly heavy if you're going to be carrying in a backpack on a trip.
