We had two of these in the past, but they got lost during a recent move.This newer unit has slightly larger salt openings (the salt flows more freely) and the pepper mill gives a consistent size grind.Worth noting: I initially thought it arrived with a frozen/broke grinder. The cap was screwed on VERY tight which prevented the upper section from rotating. Once loosened, it worked great.

Great product, very sturdy, good quality. Didn't read that it came pre filled with salt and pepper so that was a nice surprise as this was a gift for my father.

すりたての胡椒や、ミネラルたっぷりの岩塩を知ってしまったので、ミルを買ってみる気になった。いろいろ物色するのは非常に楽しい。四角くて存在感があって大いに気に入って注文を出した。会社は英国のようで、そちらで注文しようと思ったが国内発送しかしていなかった。なのでこのページから注文した。ペッパー用は、日本アマゾンでは見つけられなかったので、イギリスアマゾンで買った。送料込みでほぼ同じ値段だった。使ってみて初めて分かったのだが、これは卓上用のほうが好ましいと思った。分解できないからである。キッチンでは料理中ガリガリと長くやっていると鍋やフライパンの油や湯気が底面に盛大に飛ぶ。拭けばいいのだろうが、どうせなら分解できて洗えるほうがよいと思った。あと細かいことを書くと、上のポッチを外して蓋を取るのだが、まっすぐに心棒を立てないと蓋を締めづらくなる。中身を足すときには注意が必要。ボッチの締め付け具合で粒の粗さを調節するのだが、この辺がさすが海外製、非常に造りが甘い。すぐ緩んだりする。買ってみないと分かんないんだよなあ。結局京セラの分解タイプをキッチン用に買い足すことにした。勉強代かかったなあ。デザインは最高なんだけどなあ。デザインだけで星4つでしゅ～。品物の性能なら星一つ2つくらい。耐久性はこれから使ってみないと分からないなあ。
