This generator was a direct replacement for my 1977 Coleman 425 two burner stove. The old generator wasn’t “generating” fuel with air to create a burnable mixture. I simply followed the enclosed directions for removing the old generator and installing the new one. My 43 year old stove started right up and both burners work just like new.

It's nice to know I can still get parts for an old stove. I was getting a yellow flame and thought the generator was the problem. It turned out to be the check valve in the tank. I'm still glad I have the new generator. I replaced the old one and fixed the check valve. The stove is running like new. I love Coleman products.

This was for our stove we bought in the early 80s. It was leaking a little but still sort of worked but with some excess flame in a place it wasn't supposed to be. This part fixed that and with some new fuel in the tank, works like new. It's not hard to install but take care not to bend the tiny needle tip. We made popcorn at the camp fire shortly after.

I have had my camp stove for over 20 years and wasn't ready to replace it with a propane stove so decided to repair it instead. The new generator was simple to install and worked perfectly. Now my stove works as good as new.

I purchased my first vintage Coleman stove this summer. While trying to disassemble to clean, I promptly broke the generator off by being dumb. In frustration I found this and bought it, ironically for about twice what I paid for the stove. Upon arrival it was an easy replacement and it performed great the rest of the summer. No qualms, no concerns, just an exact fit that works like the original. If you need a new one, but this one. I may buy the six pack next, I have picked up a few more that could benefit from new generators.

Perfect fit for model 425 D Coleman camp stove. Advise you to watch a video of replacing if you've never done it. The needle is VERY SMALL and can be EASILY damaged. Several good videos on YouTube can save a lot of tear drops.

I chose this rating because I was really attached to my Coleman stove and I did not want want to get rid of it until I knew for sure it could not be repaired. One day I was doing something and just so happen to stumbled upon the owners manual, which led to troubleshooting info, which pointed to the generator as being the possible problem. So I ordered the generator. Once the generator was replaced, my anxieties were relieved and I was happier than a fat rat in a cheese factory.

I bought this generator about a year ago for what is probably a 40~50-year-old Coleman stove originally sold through Sears but which I picked up at a garage sale a few years ago. The new generator fit perfectly and worked as advertised. I expect at least 10 years of use out of it and use the stove several times a year for camping trips and other outings. I just hope the same item is available the next time I need one. I'm happy with the purchase, literally a happy camper.
