So disappointed this shoe didn't fit. Looks good, and was waterproof but had to return it because it was just too small. So sad.

Not fully waterproof and had to go half a size up than all my other shoes. Also the toe box of the shoe isn't the most comfortable but overall OK dog if you're walking your dog through fields that aren't sodden

The first pair I received, the left shoe was sewed crooked across the toe area and I feared it would leak and tear easily. Plus it looked funny, so I just reordered a pair and returned the first. The second pair was sewed perfectly. I love the large box area so I can wear thick socks plus weather proof. I ordered the basic brown as I live on a farm and mud is brown! I like them. Very comfortable and excellent material. Super!

These have been really great. They stabilize the foot very well - my ankles have a lot of support and do not roll - and the soles are nice and thick and rigid so that puncture weed burs do not penetrate the bottoms or the sides. The only downside is that my feet do get very hot. I really wish that they did not make all hiking boots/shoes waterproof - I used to easily find good hiking shoes that would also "breathe," but not so much anymore. So I get hot feet and must remove my shoes from time to time and change my socks, even when I am not being very active.

In my search for walking shoes wear to Europe on cobblestone roads and uneven terrain I came across these shoes. They are comfortable, supportive, non slip and gripped the wet uneven pavements. I tried very many walking shoes and brands and none of them provided the support and comfort like these shoes. It did take approximately 2 weeks of wearing them at home to break them in a bit. I also placed gel inserts into the heel to provide more support on the uneven terrain and they worked great. I am a minimalist packer and needed to wear these shoes in flight as they are very heavy and would take up lots of room in my carry on. I would definitely purchase these again.

Wow... these shoes saved my trip to NYC! First things first, these shoes were comfortable and I loke the look of them They're pretty rigid which I liked and there was no rubbing or concerns for blistering after long walks throughout the city (no crazy hiking or anything though). Well, it poured so hard (we knew ahead of time there would be rain which is why I brought these shoes with me) while we were there... all... day... long. I was completely soaked from head to ANKLE & I will say that my feet were completely dry! My friends were miserable & complaining of foot rot, but mine were dry as ever! It actually made the downpour much easier to tolerate! I tried to avoid deep puddles, so I'm sure with a large enough puddle it would have soaked though (at least from the top), however, I am now a true Columbia fan with these shoes! Highly highly highly recommend because you never know when you're gonna need them!!

I am super happy with these Columbia hiking shoes! I have good hiking boots and was looking for hiking shoe as an alternative. This pair totally fit the bill. First of all, it was comfortable in a 7 wide, which is my normal size in a boot. Roomy enough for a thick sock. Right of out of the box, I wore it on a wooded one mile hike with no discomfort at all, and have worn it on several more hikes with no problems. It seems like a very well-made shoe, with a thick grippy sole, a protected front, a padded tongue, and all the other features you’d like to see on a hiker. You can trip on a root in these shoes and your feet will be protected.Second of all, it looks great. The pebble brown is a very traditional hiking color, with contrasting laces. The laces aren’t too long or too short. I haven’t worn it in wet conditions but it seems quite waterproof. The weight of the shoe is reasonable, a little heavy for packing but you need some heft for a decent boot. This is not a sneaker posing as a hiking shoe, but a real hiker that you can wear on the trail.

I wanted a pair of hiking shoes and not boots as I already have hiking boots for the winter. I wanted a pair of hiking shoes that were waterproof and looked like a tennis shoe, but functionality of a hiking boot. Other reviews said to purchase a size bigger. I decided to purchase the normal size I wear. They fit just fine (even with a thicker sock). I was a little worried the shoe wouldn't be waterproof, but tested them out a couple of different times to make sure and it was just fine! :) Of course, it's a shoe and not a boot so you can only go so deep into the water. Makes sense. The only reason for a 4 star rating is they're not as comfortable I was was hoping, but it's not that uncomfortable. I love the fact that this hiking shoe is sturdy and has longer laces--some hiking boots laces are too short! All in all, very happy with my purchase.
