I got one of these cast iron recipe book holders a few months ago, and I've had so many people comment about how nice it is, so I decided to get another to use for my tablet in my office. It's very beautiful, a great way to hold my tablet or a book that I need while working. It also goes well in my kitchen to hold my recipe books or if I use my tablet for recipes. It's super heavy as well, so no worries about it being unstable.

The stand holds my cookbook and I can tuck my printed online recipes into it too. Will work to hold iPad, phone too. Very pretty!

This stand works really well. It is large and very honking heavy because it is cast iron. It DOES NOT FOLD down to a smaller size because, cast iron. It is really nice looking in a vintagey way. If you have a small kitchen, you will be wondering where the bleep to put this thing when you are not using it because counter space is a rare commodity. If you have a big modern or even a rustic farmhouse kitchen, you might consider leaving this out on the counter with one of those coffee table/cookbooks that are so popular these days so that you (not happening, life is busy) or more likely a guest (maybe) can happily peruse it while waiting for you to get them a beverage or cook them a fancy meal. If that's a thing you do.Otherwise- this thing holds a cookbook. It holds a big cookbook or a small cookbook, which might feel a bit overwhelmed by its circumstances but who cares it's a cookbook which is being anthropomorphisized and it does not actually have feelings. It even holds those recipes you keep on printing out from the internet because you can't deal with looking at a cookbook because then you have to turn pages and deal with things like indexes and tables of contents. It works. Hooray!If you are excited by a large peice of iron that may or may not be cream colored, and looks great in a rustic farmhouse kitchen or any other place we would like to pretend is a rustic farmhouse kitchen, this is your book holder. Hooray!

I am thrilled with this Cook Book stand! It is exactly what it looks like, it is heavy enough and deep enough to hold my largest cookbooks without tipping over. It is also tall enough and has a tall "lip" to hold my most flimsy, paperback cookbooks perfectly. And if you're still able to see recipes on your phone, lol, this will easily hold your phone, tablet or ipad up, too.I am extremely UNtalented in the kitchen and cannot "wing it" when cooking or baking. It is imperative that I follow a recipe! This bright red, cheerful recipe stand is as cute of an addition to my colorful kitchen as it will be useful!I think this would make a sweet bridal or wedding gift (paired with a favorite cookbook) or just for someone who loves spending time in their kitchen.

Even before opening the box, I was incredibly impressed with how large the box was, and how heavy it weighed. This demonstrated to me that the book holder would be sturdy enough to support my heavier and thicker cookbooks.After viewing the book holder, I saw my theory was correct. Not only was the holder quite heavy, it had a base which ensured that it wouldn't topple over once a book was placed into it.The design of the holder is beautifully ornate, yet simple. Its color is a true red, which complements my kitchen decor.There are small rubber tabs on the bottom of the base to prevent the holder from sliding on surfaces during use.One slight concern is that there was a bit of red paint on the inside of the box where the corners of the holder rubbed against it during shipping. Because of this, I'm going to be extra careful while cleaning the holder, as I don't want to degrade its paint.

I recently got this cast iron cookbook stand in red, and it's been quite handy in the kitchen. It's made of cast iron and its sturdy enough to hold large cookbooks without tipping over, which is just what I was looking for because I've had some stands that just couldn't handle the weight of bigger books.The stand has this decorative, swirling design that looks pretty nice. It adds a bit of character to the kitchen.I like the adjustable angle. It's easy to change the position of the stand, making it more comfortable to read recipes while cooking. The bar across the bottom keeps the book open to the page I need, so I don't have to worry about losing my place and having to flip pages when my hands are covered in pancake batter.When I'm not using it, the stand folds flat for storage. It's also quite robust. I get the feeling it will last a long time.This is probably one of the nicer cookbook stands I’ve used. It does its job well and looks good in the kitchen. Highly Recommend!
